I got a PC game cant actually remeber what it got the old did not have good enough specs and then went back to the store.Got a refund but other than that nope most expansions tell you before downloading you need a certain game to play a game.

Download red dead its a great game and then you will be able to play undead nightmare

Sure....I bought the new NFS:HP for the PC a few days after it was released. I was one of those that got to experience the fun little bug of the game crashing shortly after launching a race. That means I couldn't play it for a week until they patched. Now it runs great and am having a blast with it.

Well. A while ago I bought STALKER: Call of Pripyat Loyalty Editon from Amazon. I have STALKER: Shadows of Chernobyl on Steam, but at first the Loyalty Edition did not recognize it, and would not install.
Fortunately, I got it to recognize the Steam copy, so things are better now.

Oh, and then there was Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. I had the problem where it would become unplayable in first-person mode due to a missing OpenGL driver that wasn't installed with the other graphics driver components. Fortunately, I fixed that too - and it's tons of fun. :)

This has never happened to me, but I've come close, and I can imagine how pissed off you were.

Still, you can always either sell it or buy the base game - presumably if you bought the expansion you do have an interest in the game as a whole.

Since I switched my desktop for a laptop, I can't play about 3/4 of all my Steam library. That sucks.

I also downloaded Silent Hill 5 on Steam because I thought my computer could run it (back when I had a desktop), but it never worked.

I just bought ARMA 2 and its expansion as well as Fallout NV when my computer can hardly run them. Why?

Because I'm waiting for my laptop to be fixed and I'm planning on buying a new PC in a year.

I bought KoTOR 2 for the PC and it seems to have cutscenes thagt are incompatible with windows 7, so I basically can't play it.

Dungeon Keeper... Spent 40$ on Ebay trying to locate that game since my old copy broke, turns out it -also- doesn't like my windows 7 computer.

Black & White, about 8 years ago, was beyond the specs of my pc at that time. Come to think about it, so was anything else more recent than 2000. Still, it did run Deus Ex and Dungeon Keeper 2 so I can't really complain.
