Asexual via biologically or hormonally, i really don't care. The fact is ghouls and super mutants don't have any kind of sexuality, so including them as "straight" or remotely "normal and straight" is ridiculous.

i should also note that dialogue says hes not sterile, when he clearly is sterile. it's entirely possible he's trying to banter/joke around with the vaultee.
Yes, he is sterile and was fucking with the player. Super mutants and ghouls have sexuality. For example, ghoul hookers and the instance of the player being raped in broken hills by a super mutant for failing the arm wrestling contest.
You might argue that most don't have, but clearly some do.
But how do you know that most ghouls and super mutants don't have sexuality? All we know is that they're sterile. There's nothing to suggest that they don't have sex.
I really don't care if they are or aren't. They aren't "normal" characters in the least. What happenes is the game becomes so ridiculous that it loses any semblance of being a realistic depiction anything. You might as well give all the characters scottish accents, too. It could happen!
If you don't care then why are you making such a big argument about them being asexual?

As for them not being "normal" characters, so what? There are aliens in Mass Effect that have interspecies sex. Ghouls and Super Mutants actually used to be humans. They still exhibit many of the behaviors that they had when they were human even if those behaviors are no longer necessary or have any effect. For example, ghouls still drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, and do drugs even though their senses are dulled to the point where they gain no pleasure from those activities.
Cause people were claiming that freakasoids like "grandma lilly" are examples of normal straight characters, or intimating such. It's ridiculous. There a re a handful of remotely normal characters, like 4, 3 of which are gay/bi. Makes zero sense. I don't care if you don' think something ridiculouslly stupid is ridiculously stupid or not.
Except those characters aren't "normal" either. Veronica and Christine are pariahs in the Brotherhood of Steel because of their personality quirks and their sexual orientation. Similarly, Arcade Gannon was an outcast from the Enclave. Boone had to shoot his own wife in the head to prevent her from being captured by slavers. These are people that don't fit what society considers normal. The only human companion who comes closest to fitting society's definition of normal is Cassidy and according to her dialogue, she's only had one lesbian experience while all her other sexual activity was heterosexual in nature.

He is reporting for duty, after all. His servos are, indeed, active. He misses you.

So, please. Just assume the position. For his sake?

Congratulations. I've NEVER been able to get it to work. My first character crashed in the end slides, the second sooner into the end slides, the third at the start of Dead Money, and the fourth so far is crashing before she's even made it out of goodsprings.
I hope I'm not coming off as snide but I'm curious: why did you buy DLC for a game that barely works?
I had a very similar experience with the game and when the dlc hit, I knew it wouldn't make the game perform any better and I kind of felt insulted that they would try and sell dlc for a game that didn't work.
I've lent it out to friends, hoping that by the time they're al done with it, it's been patched into working condition but I'm not very confident that will ever happen.

On subject: I finished with the Independent ending a few times as it kept freezing during the final battle and even the first time I got to the slide show it went into perpetual load. My wife did the House ending. I started a hardcore Legion game after the last patching but lent the game out again when that game started cracking up too.

Two reasons. One: 374,000 caps worth of gold bars to literally wallpaper my house with. Two: The game didn't run like ass until after I downloaded the DLC. It still crashed, but one crash every few hours is tolerable. Par for the course.
Oh.
In that case I'm really glad I didn't get the dlc; my game was crashing (sometimes straight to the xmb; never saw that before) every 30-45 mins... before they even announced what the dlc would be called.
I wish it was only crashing every few hours... I kind of expected that level of glitchiness, not the house of cards I ended up playing.

...because war, war never changes.

I still need to complete the other endings, just like KOTOR 2, this game got a lot of criticism for the bugs despite being a great game. However unlike KOTOR 2, the ending was great.

Games that make you feel something - sad, happy; whatever - are the *best* games, in my opinion. It's why I like Bioware games. In both Dragon Ages they give you NPCs to interact with that, for better or worse, you *care* about by the end of the game.

I'm playing through Fallout: New Vegas now. Just finished getting the Bombers to like me and now I'm tying up loose ends. :)
BW games I have never cared about characters, at all. Most are the smae cliche ones anyway.
Its funny becuase I cared more about the end of Hlao reach a "shallow" fps.

Acctually I feel like Ive finished it several times having to redo certain parts for what ever reason

I actually found that.....kind of emotional, especially since it gives you an epilogue about your companions

Im left with the feeling of not being sure If I made the right desicions but I think thats the Idea, I know there would be sacrifices what ever option you chose

I went independant no legion no NCR

yeah great game, will require another playthrough (but not in a long long time)
Exactly. Personally i chose the NCR. They do too much good to be ruled out for petty corruption. Corruption is inevitable, even among the legion.
I find it funny, just replace hoover dam with oil, Mojave with mid east and NCR with USA...

The NCR dont care about the people, they care about the resources, they cant ptotect its own land its got too big for its own good.

"Too much good"
Do you know what they did to vault city ?

NCR is just like the democracy in the old world of falllout, a place waging war for resources and power, and we know how that ended. War never changes, so expecft the ncr to crumble.
well if i think about it that way then of COURSE i'm giving New Vegas to the NCR, Mojave doesn't know how to run itself! It's too crazy, radical, and lawless... it's exactly the same reasons the old west had to come to an end.

I play on PC. It's no better, and I have access to the dev console to try to ***** slap it into behaving itself.

Worked on it's predecessor but it just seems to anger NV.
Really? I heard some of the user made patches make it run smoother. If I had known it would be as bad as it was, I would?ve actually opted for the PC version. You know they?re never going to fix the ps3 version and while I seriously doubt that they?ll ever fix the PC version, you can usually count on the modders to get it working.

There's a host of different kinds of fixes for Fallout: New Vegas for the PC. Just looking through the Nexus, I can recommend a few that I am using now. http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34778

That ^ is a fix for anyone using an Nvidia gfx card. There's another one for ATIs. In a nutshell, it tricks the game into running better. Not sure what the science is but it works. Also, I found that the animations used in New Vegas cause stutter so I replaced them with the animations from FO3, which are a lot smoother.

Just go to the Nexus and type "performance" in the search box and you will get a lot of great fixes that fix performance issues while maintaining graphics quality.

BTW. I started a new game and decided to do some things I hadn't before. For instance, I skipped over Ringo's opening quest and ended up working for the Powder Gangers at the jail for a while. Anyone else tried starting out this way?

...I've never tried not killing all of the powder gangers early on, actually... they're just such easy marks. Right about the time I clear out Primm, I always go back and clear out the prison.

I suppose I could try avoiding the perma-hostile ones, but it just strikes me as a pain when I can go kill 'em and loot the prison any time I choose.

It was a game by Obsidian based on an engine from Bethesda. How could you not expect it to be buggiest game ever?
