In short, an old unused insurance account of mine liquidated and I got a check for $700.
I don't have many games and I at least wanted to buy one before putting the rest of this cash towards bills and car-repairs and such.

What do you think I should get?
I have already played (beaten):
Dead Rising
Dead Space
L4D
Lost Oderpderp
Orange Box
Fallout 3 (Minus all the DLC)
Fable 2

Well, I wanted something that would be fun to play on Live (Not Halo 3). I almost bought Ultimate Alliance 1 before I realized that the sequel comes out in a little more than 4 weeks. I kind of want to get GOW2 because I enjoyed playing horde, but I hear all the map packs up to now cost a lot with the game itself. So :3 Generally anything that'd have alot of replay value in the multiplayer department.

give call of duty a go, or perhaps call of Juarez.

Both have very good multiplayer options on live

Saints Row 2.
GTA IV.
Crackdown.
Oblivion.
The Darkness (Very underrated.)
BioShock.
The Call of Duty games might serve you well also.

Browse the used section of Gamestop and go to town. A lot of great games are under 25. Or just wait a month or two when everything comes out.

I recommend Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 for shooter needs. It blends well with solo play and co-op, and for customization nerds like me it's orgasmic (as far as shooters go).

I also recommend saving money for "Dragon Age: Origins" if you're into the archaic warrior/rogue/mage/healer Medieval adventure.

Edited: Stole a comma.

The Darkness is a great FPS. And dirt cheap now. You could probably buy about 140 copies with $700.

Rock Band, Rock Band 2 with instruments, then go nuts on the downloadable tracks.

If you like Rock/metal music I'd suggest you save some of the money to buy
Brütal Legend.

It's like the first game at which I regret not having a Xbox360 or PS3... :(

If you're a fan of single-player games, try Mass Effect or Oblivion.

If you're more of a multi-player kind of guy, I highly recommend Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4.

And if you're a shooter fanatic, go with Bioshock, Gears of War 2, and Rainbow Six: Vegas.

Oh, and there's Mirror's Edge if you feel like experimenting. Hope this helps. :)
