I just got a 360, so what games should I get?

So, I bought a used 360 from a buddy to use as a media server so I could watch all my PC videos on my TV across my house. So now that I have all that set up I decided that maybe I should grab a few games for it. So my fellow escapist, what 360 games should I get? I should note that I am a diehard PC gamer, and if the game is available on PC, I would get it on there, so which non-PC games should I get?

EDIT: I like a most different genres, some of my favorite games are Team Fortress 2, Oblivion, Portal, Dragon Age: Origins, Batman AA, Splinter Cell, Just Cause 2, ect. I also can't stand Halo and find it extremely boring.

And yeah, thats what I recommend. They're the only 360 games I have that don't have a PC version. Fable 3 was originally an exclusive, but its coming out on the PC soon. I recommend it either way, its a pretty decent game.

Gears of War 2 for sure. And Brutal Legend is pretty good too. If you like a good hack n' slasher then get Bayonetta as well.

Try Dead Space and Dead Space 2. Awesome games.

That he could get for his PC if he wanted, though I think the console controls work better.

metro 2023 is pretty good and is worth playing for it atmosphere. halo and cod are to of the main games on the xbox and there fun. the fallout game (3 and new vegas)are great. the dead space games.

Halo Reach. Most other good games (ME 1, 2, Gears etc.) can be obtained on the pc. However, if you are getting xbox live (which is almost a given, but not quite), then pick up Marvel vs Capcom 3, Gears of War 2 and Fable 3 (only if you want, imo its the worst of the series by far)

Alan Wake. Totally awesome Xbox Exclusive. Nothing totally original in terms of gameplay but if you're into interesting narratives it's worth a look.

Other than that, yeah Gears of War is a nice fun game. Also Mass Effect if you aren't already gaming on a PC. Even though Mass Effect 2 is on PS3 you still can't get the first one and ultimately you really should play both for the full experience.

Also the Fable games, Fable III wasn't brilliant and was a disappointment but Fable II was quite good and I don't think you can get that on PC.

I'd say Halo but I've still yet to actually play any of that series...one day.

Get Bayonetta! The 360 version was pretty good.

Bayonetta: One of the best games on the console. Exciting, fun, fast-paced melee action.

Gears of War & Gears of War 2: At this point these games are pretty well-known. There is more to them than firing from cover, though, there are some great set pieces and gameplay mechanics. And you can play the entire main campaign in co-op.

Tales of Vesperia: Best JRPG on the console. Just a wonderful game all around. It's like a retro JRPG with beautiful graphics and fun, realtime combat. Has some surprisingly dark moments too.

Vanquish: Same developer as the one behind Bayonetta. Not quite on that level, but lots of fun anyway. Kind of like a cross between Gears of War and an entire warehouse full of speed. The only game where you can slide across rooms like a jet-powered Bruce Springsteen and kick somebody in half. De-emphasizes cover.

Rez HD: Not sure how to describe this.

Mass Effect 1 and 2. You've mentioned other games you like that I agree with, so go with those too.

Metro 2033. I have a PS3 and I can't play it, and when I found this out I was unhappy, but instead of trolling I'm going to recommend it to you because I don't want what could have been my copy going to waste.
Also, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Those are some exclusives that are pretty good IMO. I don't know what genres you like, but if you want RPGs and the like I can give you some more.
