I just got a 360 controller for my pc, and I think it really is more fun then a keyboard, even if it's less precise, the extra distance from my pc allows me to sit back and really relax while I play.

But I don't seem to have many games I can use it with.

Other then Borderlands, RF:G and Bioshock 1 & 2... What other PC games work really well with the controller?

Red Faction Guerilla is fun but it just got a bit boring after I died for the thousandth time and got dumped back at the spawn point, and having already played through borderlands and bioshocks I need something else to try my shiny new controller on.

I suggest not playing any multiplayer FPS games, considering mouse wielders will murder you. I guess racing games?

You might want to try it with Assassin's Creed. If you don't already have it, the game is $10 brand new at Walmart. Also, it'll work nicely with emulators, and almost any sort of platformer should work well with a controller.

Racing games and soccer games are usually good enough for a PC 360 controller.

But I am glad you found the pleasure every console owner has, full frontal couch gaming and being laid back.
I moved my pc to this little table on the end of my bed, originally to watch films, but to play games on it whilst lying down is sooo nice

I already played through it with keyboard and mouse, but it was a great game. If only the sequel didn't have such crap DRM.

Action adventures. Assassin's Creed, Psychonauts, Prince of Persia, Silent Hill, Grand Theft Auto series.

Sports games like Snowboarding, Football, etc.

Racers.

Batman: AA, Dark Void, Mass Effect are the games I emulate my PS3 controller on the PC as a 360 controller for. Sound confusing? Well it is, because Sony doesn't support it so there's unofficial drivers you can use and then it makes the PC think it's a 360 controller. Anyway, I much prefer mouse and keyboard for most FPS and strategy type games, however some games (particularily action games like Batman) are better with a gamepad. You should be able to customize controls in many games tho.

Oh yeah and I guess racing games would be a lot better with a gamepad if you don't have a wheel. And flying - Dark Void is not easy to fly using the mouse lol.

Well from what I think you said in one of your other posts, DMC4 for PC is apparently really good with a controller. I still use the keyboard though. I've gotten accustomed to it, and i prefer it now, so whatever floats your boat

Pretty much everything works well with a controller. If you want a way of deciding if it will work or not, ask yourself before you play a game if it has also been released on a console (or a very similar game exists on a console). If it does, it'll work fine. If it doesn't, it's an RTS or counterstrike.

besides emulators, third person shooters, and action adventure games (perhaps just gamefaq/gamespot those and look at the top ten games there) i can't recommend too much more for the pc, as most racing gams i prefer are on wii or gamecube

someone mentioned prince of persia..those are some damn good games, try em out with the controller

I really wish Morrowind worked with a controller. Might encourage me to go back to it.

I hate keyboard and mouse control.

I'm downloading it in the hopes it will be good...
as I said 3 was terrible so :/

I also own all the GTA games from 3-4, FlatOut Ultimate Carnage, Saints row two, far cry 1, both mass effects, dead space, bully and thief but I'm just not sure which will work. (That's not all my games but the ones I reckon could work with a controller...)
And of all those only mass effects are installed, and most require lengthy downloads (Steam)
I also have a bit of money so if there's anything that I desperately need to try, that's good too.

Mass effect
I didn't think they'd work because the controller didn't work with DA:O... How do you access the pausebar?

One good thing is Beat Hazard has been given a new lease of life with it, much easier to do whirling spins with a controller XD

DMC4 is pretty dang good...though a lot of people like 3 better the PS2 version (the PC one was a crappy port).

Also, DMC4, like most of Capcom's PC titles, is extremely well optimized. My computer is a bit old, and kind of average-ish and it runs amazingly graphics and all. Also, the PC version comes with 2 extra bonuses, Legendary Dark Knight (hard mode but with a hell of a lot more enemies which utilizes the PC's power) and Turbo Mode, which increases the gameplay speed by 20%

I'm pretty sure you'll have a blast with it =o ..you can even read my review of it while you wait....*cough*-is not blantently plugging himself-*cough*..PC Review: Devil May Cry 4

I hate playing FPSs with a controller. The mouse is brilliant for aiming.

GTA IV, Batman: AA, Street Fighter IV, Assassin's Creed and the Pro Evo games (back when they were better than FIFA, which is awful on the PC) and all games that I have comfortably used the 360 controller with.

I'm just about to start Fallout 3 and that seems to suggest using it too.
