Me and five of my buddies just recently got back into it. In fact, the day Starcraft 2 came out, we restarted Diablo 2, just as a joke to all the Starcrafters.

And OP. I'd play with you if my Internet was cooperating. As is, I'm internetting on my iPod and Droid. My Necromancer kicks ass, and everytime I summon a skeleton, I get to say one of my favorite Memes, "...and then a skeleton popped out."

I was considering buying it but was put off by the long distance 3rd person graphics (there's a proper name, I forgot it)

Is it really worth buying? Because if so I could really use a game to play right now.

The view is called Isometric, but yeah once you get past act 1 you will find the thing to be completely enthralling, you'll be lucky if you can put it down. It's 18 different flavors of epic.

Same here. Having underlings to do your dirty work is so much easier than clicking on everything. My hands only touched treasure. ^_^

But yeah, Diablo 2 owns dungeon crawling. If my computer could run it, I'd play it again in a heartbeat.
