I just have to admit it- I am the steriotypical female gamer. But who cares?

My life as a woman gamer...

Grew up a only female where all my siblings and cousins were male, so that altered alot of my habits.

when it comes to consoles; Sports, mainly Fifa, Madden, and NHL...I love the biowaRPG's " as I call them" not too heavy into shooters, but there are a few out there like bioshock, and I actually did enjoy Prey, and darkness ( but Im a comic geek too so I dad to give darkness a run) not too much into gta, but loved saints...
When it's PC I miss alot of the older x-wing sims and such, loved vampire, MMO wise I'm a cheep ass and stick largely to things like Perfect World ( shockingly My characters DO NOT have the girly cutsy dress wearing, big eye thing going, my archer matches more the realistic face, western comic body, and acts like a ranged tank" and Im heavily looking forward to stargate worlds....

Basically I think I fall into the solid casual, lightly competitive, more so I think because I do have two kids, it limits my time and attention alittle...

Personally I think the biggest aspect of the "girl gamer" stereotype is that she always likes to call attention to herself and her ability to play games while having tits.

So, yes, you certainly do fit the stereotype.

when you can still drum ( rb or gh) with big 32ddd/e in the way you earned alittle respect on that, that can be a killer....more on the back but I digress.. other than that I always wondered " who gives a damn?" guess I never saw the point of it all personally, to me.. you game or you don't gender is largely a non-issue.

Without wishing to derail ( I need to either look for more suitable posts or quit starting like that), girls and casual gamers in general I feel are only good for the gaming industry, a percent of them will move onto more regular gaming stuff, and we need to feed our population with new gamers.

im a girl gamer but i think that i play games differently than you. I grew up with my brother so I always had to play harder and keep getting better or i wouldnt be able to play video games with him. Also its pretty funny when people think that just because you're a girl you're not any good at games but then you end up completely slaughtering them. DDR is badass. And I think that if people stereotype you then their dumb.

Who cares? WHO CARES?!

Apparently you don't know how sexually repressed the average gamer is.

I didn't know there was a stereotype for female gamers. I didn't know there were yet enough of them to warrent a stereotype.

I play Halo on easy, lose at normal
Same used to be me, until a friend showed me that headshots do bonus damage. Now I always aim for the head, and have beaten all 3 games on Legendary.

(The hardest, in my opinion, was Cairo Station (Legendary) in Halo 2. There was a particular room that was just grueling).

Anyway, I never really stereotyped gamers, as I'm not a very good stereotype myself. Really, the closest stereotypes I believe in are fanboys.

You know what?

It doesn't matter what KIND of female gamer you are... as long as you ARE a female gamer. At least you understand why so many guys get into them.

My girlfriend never played video games.... just recently I got her into a few of them. Right now she's addicted to Resident Evil 4 and she's going to team up with me for RE5.

She STINKS at games... but she's getting better.

She also will ONLY play as a female character. RE4 was a big step for her because you HAVE to play as a guy, and it bugged her... but she's over it.

I feel kind of bad because I'm turning her into a complete dork.
