This. My uni friends and I started doing this a couple of years ago and Subway hate us for it.

My penny's worth: Peanut butter and chicken sandwich. Tastes awesome.

You've never really ghetto-rigged a sammich until you've got 2 pieces of bread with nothing between them but tomato sauce.

Better than driving to the shops.

years of poverty and an appreciation for that magical plant marijuana have lead tosome truly inpired food orgies. most recently was white rice, rain all the liquid, add salsa, nacho cheese, a can of refried beans and whats left of a can of tomato soupin your frige, approximately 1/3 to 1/2. it was amazing.

also waaaay back in high school, we invented the Stoner Grilled Cheese which could have just as easily been called Lazy Grilled Cheese. make toast, butter the toast, on each of the buttered sides put a slice of cheese, microwave for 15-25 seconds.

Well, 'THE GREATEST THING IN ALL MY DAILY LIFE' just made my throat close up and suffocated me.

I hope you're happy! :p

Edit: During a fridge clear-out transitional period, when my snack options were limited, I did once make an extra-mature cheddar and Heinz Tomato Ketchup sandwich.

Have never looked back.
Agreed (on both parts)

Peanuts are death to me

and cheese and ketchup sandwiches rock!

I never really experimented with food...my brother did though.

He would try everything he could find and put it on bread and eat it. Tomato sauce, milk, peppercorns etc.

One day he put a whole lot of cloves on the bread...he never experimented again.

Well, you take a chicken nugget, and you best believe that nugget goes in a biscuit. That's right, a chicken nugget in a biscuit. Dip it all in mashed potatoes. Then you take the mashed potato covered chicken nugget biscuit and you dip it in the barbecue sauce, yum yum gimme.
I always meant to try the Tobiscuit :p

Haven't exactly made anything to my knowledge, but I did get the brilliant idea to make a root beer float with cream soda instead. IT WILL BE SO CREAMY!!

I was in my kitchen recently, I wanted a sandwich but I couldn't decide between crunchy peanut butter or Milano salami. Not being able to decide I figured I'd make a half sandwich out of so I took my PB and Salami out of the fridge but found I had not bread! But I had a craving for PB and Salami at this point so I took 3 pieces of salami with which I crafted a satchel to store a tablespoon if PB. I placed it in my mouth, just got salami. But as I bit down it created a taste explosion as the meat taste infused with the Peanut Butter and the crunchiness of the PB added a nice crunch.

It was beautiful...

Not especially creative. I just do random stuff.

Once I read a book where a person created a boiled egg sandwich. I copied and it's yum. But I had to add lunchmeat to it. Then there's my penchant for creating sauces for my rice when we have none. I've gotten very into making a peanut butter based one. With other elements like salad dressing and sour cream.

But perhaps the biggest one is when I was at a loss of what to eat and we only had hot dogs one time. I was not in the mood and was bored with them. So I thought for just the hell of it I'd go on the web and look up suggestions for what to put on your hot dog. My search basically came up with... you could put just about any damn thing on it if you feel like.

That's by far my most creative tasks. Sour cream, mayo, thousand island dressing, bacon bits, honey, syrup, lettuce, cucumbers...

FYI, none of these ingredients are necessarily on the same hot dog. But they're items I've tried. I plan to try many more combos in the near future.

Chili powder on Jaffa Cakes.

Discovered on 7th grade when I got hungry during recess and happened to have chili powder and Jaffa Cakes in my backpack. Can't for the life of me remember why I was carrying chili powder to school with me.

Potatoes
Sausages
Curry Paste
Gravy
Soy Sauce
Beef Stock
Vegetable Stock.

Toss it all into a big pot of water and cook for an hour or so. Do it now, thank me later.

I will try that at my earliest convenience, possibly with sesame seeds and soy sauce.

I just remembered another culinary invention:
1: Toast a slice of bread.
2:Spread butter and pate on one side
3: Put the toast on top of a slice of bread, so that that the pate is in contact with the untoasted bread
4: Butter and pate the other side of the toast.
5: Put a slice of bread on top.
6: Crush down to sandwich thickness, and cut in half.

Makes for an excellently compact yet filling sandwich.
You can substitute the pate for honey if you have a sweet tooth.

One time I had a craving for french toast but realized halfway through making it that I had no syrup. Looking for something sweet I spotted some ricotta cheese and figured "Oh they make cannoli filling with this stuff right? This'll work"

So I took a scoop of ricotta, added some confectioners sugar (regular sugar just makes it grainy),cinnamon, and vanilla and spread it over the french toast like butter and made a kind of sandwich. It was probably the most delicious thing ever.
Also honey is a surprisingly good substitute for syrup in a pinch. I just felt fancy that evening.

Bacondates! No, that is not taking your bacon out to a nice place, maybe go to a club later, and hope you get lucky, it is taking dates, wrapping them in bacon, and stuffing them in an oven for a while. The result is a brilliant, grease-dripping mix of sweet and bacon, unrivaled in the realm of snacks.

Also:

Corn (canned or fresh) <- Main ingredient
cheese bits (jarlsberg, no other alternative)
pine nuts
One or more of the following:
-Pineapple
-Grapes
-Apple or banana would probably work aswell
One or more or of the following:
-Ham
-Chicken
-Salmon (smoked, cooked, whatever)
-Taco meat from yesterday
-Any somewhat salty meat or fish, prefrably edible cold.
-(bacon?)
(Optional:) Macaroni/pasta of some sort

Mix your choice of ingredients in suitably sized bits, add some olive oil, salt, or anything you like.

Serve with pita bread, in pita bread, with any other bread, in a tortilla, alone, alone while desperatly wanting a pita, or as a side dish, or as a dessert (depends on how much fruit). Dont skimp on the corn.
