I just threw a house party and it was crazy. Tomorrow I look forward to picking up beer cans, and rug doctoring the rug to make my house look pretty again. So to my fellow escapist have you ever thrown a huge party? If so how did it turn out was it super crazy, or a dud? If you haven't thrown a party what was the craziest party you have ever been too?

Craziest party I ever went to ended up with me and my friends running around without shirts on the beach and watching the girls make out with each other. It was like 40 degrees out and rainy. But it was still awesome

I like parties. As I've gotten older, the parties have gotten more mature. Fancier glasses, more expensive booze.

That is, until a buddy got guitar hero and brought it over. Did you know that the secret to rock is PELVIC MOTION? Musical skill goes out the window: the crowd loves only the thrust of the pelvis.

Love being at wild parties, but i'd never throw a big one at my own place, too much mess.

Going to someone elses house party.. Ehh, not that bad so long as you have a core of friends to hang out with.

Hosting one yourself? More work than it will be worth.

I had three growing up, although one was consigned to the garden. All 3 were super awesome, but I was 16-17 take from that what you will. Everyone was drunk and everyone had a good time, but I suspect it'd be fairly rubbish compared to what I'm used to now.

We had a couple in our student house too, although I can't say *I* hosted that, as we put it on between 7 of us. I really like having parties at my place - it's a complete contrast to going to one because you tend to know 90% of the people round. Meeting new people is one of the best bits of parties, but sometimes it's nice to be able to swan through all the converations around. As for "too much work" - meh. Preparing is a lot of fun, and in every case we've had people who slept over and pitched in with clean up the next day. Even the dirtiest hosue isn't so bad if you have a dozen people mucking in.

Um, no, my parents would've killed me if I did (they have never been away from the house for even a whole night other than family vacations), I have never had that many friends to go to one of those kinds of social outings, and mostly I don't like going to those kinds of parties in the first place. To me, their purpose just seems to be getting wasted and easy sex; I don't drink and though I wouldn't be completely objective to a one-night-stand (so long as it was consensual, most people that sleep around in such a manner probably aren't the safest to sleep with in terms of diseases.

The first week of living in a student house, instead of halls/dorms, we threw a housewarming party. Obviously as there were 6 of us living there, all of us with different social circles, we know that there'd be a lot of people but it was cool, we got out the plastic cups and plates and hid the breakables.

- One of our housemates (who is very shy) came home from his society meeting with other society members and a crate of Strongbow, and they had their own miniparty in the bathroom...we've never found out why.

- One guest found a plunger and plunged the ceiling with it. This was found hilarious by all.

- Every time I came in from the garden after a smoke, or from upstairs, there was at least one new person in our house who none of us who lived there seemed to know. My housemate and I worked in bars in the city, and for months afterwards we were getting randomers coming up to the bar saying "Hi! Remember me? I've been in your house!" and we just looked at them blankly.

Fortunately it didn't get out of hand, and a good time was had by all, but we were lucky - I wouldn't normally recommend allowing randomers at your party!!

I did throw a party when I turned 16 invited all my friends. (Some of them were huge idiots though).

- Some idiot thought it was funny to spray mustard over my wall I dont know what the hell he was thinking but he was kicked out right away.

-Another guy threw an empty crate of beer in the pond near my house.

- Some people would really need to learn to eat. There was all sorts of junkfood on the floor mixed up with a nice amount of beer.

Seriously when looking back I cant believe I hung out with those guys. The whole situation seems like a huge /facepalm to me.

Haven't been to any "crazy" parties. I mostly just hang out and drink with some friends at their house. Never been a fan of the huge party and dancing scene. I prefer hanging out with people I know I get along with and having a good time.

The "craziest" I've ever been to, I guess, would be at halloween once, because people I didn't really know started to come over and brought Karsk.

The closest thing to parties that I go to are punk shows. They basically are parties anyway, since almost everybody knows each other and just has a ton of fun with the bands.

Yup, I had several when I was younger. My family is kinda well off, so we had a big garden and a big house and a jacuzzi. My mum is a teacher so she got a lot of holidays and my dad always blagged a lot of time off work, so whilst the rest of my family had gone on holiday I threw some. Nothing really got broken and my parents never knew, so I'm very lucky. Provided you don't let strangers in you'll pretty much always be ok and know who to blame for things.
