I'm too stubborn. I refuse to walk out because I paid for it... but there have been times I have REALLY wanted to walk out. House of a 1000 corpses comes to mind as one...

Twilight.

Although, to be honest, it was a DVD.

And strangely, I was able to sit through it's sequels. And they were stupider than the first one.
My family either rented it or it was on tv and I spent the whole time it was on in my room playing games.

My brother and I went to see Training Day and walked out of it. I've never seen another denzel washington movie since then. My friends and I went to see virus and after my friends woke me up from sleeping through it we walked out of their. We also should have walked out of U-Turn but we didn't and had to wash our brains out with Rocketman the very next day cuz even though it sucked as well it was still a remedy against poisonous U-turn.

As far as walking out of movies, no cause I can usually tell if a movie is gonna be bad before I go to the theatre but one movie that made my eyes hemmorhage was the recent Resident Evil flick. after watching the canon of Resident Evil once again get mutilated and watching Jovovich fire three clips worth of ammo without ever reloading I threw my hands up in the air and went outside.

Not in the theater, but I've shut off my DVD player and walked out of the room on Avatar and Meet the Spartans respectively.
I would have walked out of the cinema during the pit scene on Meet the Spartans if my gf at the time hadn't started sucking my neck through boredom

TRULY THE WORST FILM EVER

nah, never walked out of a movie before...

However there were two movies that I wish I could have walked out of, the first was Oliver Stone's "Alexander", which was so long, so boring and so terrible that I was dying in the theater, however my wife needed to watch it for a class so no can do (the professor of said class apologized for making them sit through it). The other was Date Movie, which thankfully was short, because if it was any longer I think I might have tried to slit my wrists.

May I ask what you didn't like about Avatar exactly?
Oh, come on.. It actually needs explaining?
Well yeah, cause I liked it so its harder for me to guess why others wouldn't.
I could take a guess and say it's the unoriginal plot?

Last time I walked out of a movie was when my flatmates were all watching Avatar in the next room. I came in to watch for a while, until they started stealing blowing up the native americans' big blue aliens' land tree. It was at this point I noticed one of the old guard of movie clichés was making an appearance; Mouthy Butch Latina Who Is Usually Called Ramirez or Something. As soon as she uttered the words 'I didn't sign up for this shit' I laughed and left the room.
i havent seen avatar but i'll bet 100 bucks that "mouthy butch latina" was michelle rodriguez.

also i think i walked out on "the day after tomorrow"

ALSO just remembered a whole bunch of people walked out of Inglorious Basterds because of how badly it sucked. i stayed until the end because i kept hoping it would get good. the first chapter of that movie was incredible but the rest was just generic tarantino trash

Well in my case that's a very good guess. All I could think of was "cliché". I just can't stand it when they're trying to get away with a prefab plot like this.. Seen it too many times, don't feel anything for it anymore, since I was a little kid.

Fair enough, the reason I liked it despite the obvious plot was the setting and the CGI and just all together how impressively it's done.

Really wanted to walk out of The Switch and go see Machete, but sadly my girlfriend wouldn't let me.

I refuse to walk out of a movie that I paid for. However, there are plenty of times where I find myself checking my watch to see when the movie is supposed to end throughout the whole damned thing. (Most recent was Black Swan)

I'm ashamed to admit I liked that film, it wasn't good by any means but me and my friends got some laughs out of it. I try to avoid shit movies but my friend dragged me to Paranormal Activity 2 and I can say without a doubt that is the worst movie I had ever seen at a theatre. I honestly conidered walking out and demanding a refund.

Just yesterday I walked out of Black Swan. That movie was just awful, boring, and bizarre with no context at times. I get the feeling the hour and twenty minutes of absolutely nothing happening was supposed to be buildup, but it wasn't tense or scary or anything at all and it hardly even tried to contextualize the "climax" which is when I left because it was so stupid. You can't be a mediocre drama about dancing for the majority of the film and then decide you're a psychological horror movie for a half hour and then market yourself as such. That didn't work for me. And the worst part is the critics love this garbage! It's up for awards! I don't understand how because it was just awful.

I would have walked out of 2001: A Space Odyssey. It bored me to death. But it was a DVD... and I wanted to see the part when the guy says, "Open the pod bay door HAL..."
So instead, I skipped through an hour or so. Never again...
