Now, I have this strange problem that I have had for my entire life. When I am in a loud place I get very sleepy. You put me in a quiet room and I can stay entertained all day, now put me in a shooting gallery and you will find me on the floor quite soon... Not dead. Anyway, when you are in a specific situation do you feel the opposite of what most people feel?

I get extremely bored in party settings.

EDIT: I do this a lot too, though mostly only after being startled. I don't mean a slight jump, I mean "you just scared the shit out of me" startled.

Well when I'm surrounded by people who share my common interests (I.e a convention) instead of being very open and getting along with everything I actually tend to get very nervous. Mind you I still enjoy being surrounded by people who share my interests.

That's called a defense mechanism, my friend. Laughing when scared is common (depending on how scared you are.)

OT: I know it's been said, but parties bore me. Also I'm sleepy all day but at night I'm wide awake.

I get hot when there's a room full of people I don't know. The window could be open, it could be a cold room, but I need to gtfo and get some air and calm myself. If I don't I get really hot to the point that I get really sleepy.

Parties are boring. Every time my parents drag me to my cousin's house for a family cookout, a swim around in the pool for maybe a half hour then go inside and sit at the computer until the food is ready.

In emergencies I tend to become very stoic.

I've had coffee about 3-4 times in my life, and each time I was fast asleep within 30 minutes after it.

I've never gotten a sugar rush, even when having about double the amount that most people require to get one.

When someone wrongs me, I am incapable of feeling anger over it, and more than half the time end up feeling apologetic in some way to the person in question.
My friends call me out on it all the time.

I have a tonne of fun and lose inhibitions when other people are drunk...

I don't drink at all so it'd be interesting to see if I'd be an introverted drunk.

As for the fearful, that can save your life. My dad and brother were camping, and had fish blood on their shirts. Somebody warned them there were bears and they blew him off. That night, they were in their tent, and a bear came running up and stopped right outside. They both started laughing hysterically because they thought they were going to die, and the bear got scared and ran away.

OT:

Well, it is common practice in America for ignorant people to call Obama a Socialist. Most people in this situation who deny this are Obama supporters who don't want him to be tainted by Socialism. I deny this because I am a Socialist who doesn't want Socialism tainted by him.

When under great stress I tend to get incredibly calm and just do everything I would normally do to resolve the situation but just at a much more rapid rate and usually doing ALOT better job at it then I normally would. Found out this was a great trait for ANY sort of team (Robotics team in my case) or deadline. :)

Yeah, this.
Never seemed to understand it really.

When I eat lots of sugar I usually go to sleep an hour later.
Yet when I take sleeping pills or stuff like that I pull all-nighters. Interesting really.

That's pretty much me, except I've never even tried a sleeping pill. I'd be willing to guess it would have that type of effect on me though.

Coffee makes me sleepy. Also if I am tired but have to wake up its best to wake me then leave me in a dark room until I get up. If someone wakes me and turns on the lights the light makes me even sleepier.
Coffee might as well be sleeping pills for me too. I can't count the times I've had multiple cups and then fallen asleep at the table I drank them at.
