I watched the beginning of the new episode of Fringe yesterday with my flatmates and I noticed a small error. At the beginning of the episode they spelled out the name of the city where the action is taking place as is the custom of the show. Problem is they spelled "Manhattan" incorrectly. This wasn't a huge mistake and by no means did it have any affect on the rest of the episode (apparently), but it was a glaring error that shouldn't have happened nonetheless.

Have any of you noticed something small like that in a game or movie or tv show? A tiny error that maybe a spell-check or a quick check on Wikipedia could fix?

In a good few books I read. It makes me happy and sad at the same time...

As for fringe, I saw only one episode, and it involved Nazis. I announced 'Godwin's Law' to my friend then walked away, as the show clearly lost.

Not a spelling error, but a grammatical one that made me sigh. A friend of mine had bought an issue of Deadpool at the comic shop, and while looking over the very first page of dialog, one person very clearly says "You're name is Deadpool."

The fact that got through unchecked saddened me deeply.

Wow, good eye!
But yeah, everyone makes a mistake once, I wouldn't worry about it, they got to pump out a lot of shows. But I don't think I have seen little bloopers. I mean once or twice like a different color or pants in a old cartoon but not huge

It may have been intentional, considering that the beggining of the episode took place on the "other side." It seems too stupid for it to have been a mistake. Hey, if Nixon is on the silver dollar, maybe Manhatten is spelled differently.

Fair enough. I didn't actually watch the episode; I don't really like the show. My two flatmates love it though.
