Oh, you're such a dare devil you...

On another note: Demon's Souls actually isn't as terribly difficult as everyone portrays it to be.

I thought the ending to Fallout 3, Pre-Broken Steel was one of the best endings to an RPG.

I thought Dragon Age 2 was allright.

Fable 3 is not bad either. Nor is Fable 2.

I thought that Red Dead Redemption was an awful game, I think that the new Devil May Cry looks cool, I think that Majoria's Mask was better than Ocarina of Time, I think the sonic games were always lousy, and the Shin Megami Tensei series is WAYYY better than any Final Fantasy game.
Also that Twilight Princess was a great game (when did everyone start hating it so much anyway?)

Oh goodness. I'm gonna get so much hate for this, but I'll say it anyway.

Final Fantasy VII isn't the greatest game ever.
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed FFVII and have great memories with it...buuuuut I still don't think it should be dubbed "THE greatest ever."

No, not really at all. Everyone has their opinions, why should your opinion be wrong or right?

Also, Modern Warfare or any other war shooter out there on the market isn't as bad as everyone make's it out to be. Each generation of gaming usually has a genre that defines it at this core, this generation's is online social interaction.

Modern Warfare 2 actually is fun to play when you don't take it seriously. Sure, the map design is awful and everything, but I always get such a rush from shooting down everyone's killstreak rewards.

This is probably one of my biggest ones.

I liked all the Fable games. They're not masterpieces by any account, but I think they were pretty good.

Another one I have... I thought Other M was okay. I liked it, I thought the gameplay was fun. The plot wasn't great but it had some good parts. The Ridley subplot in particular I thought was very clever. Samus's traditional character wavered in only like 2 scenes and for brief moments, for a grand total of about 30 seconds.

Anyway, it too was far from perfect and the Primes put it to absolute shame. I don't think Team Ninja "ruined metroid" or "ruined Samus", at any rate.

Honestly, Navi is my big one, too. She's incredibly helpful on the first run through the game, she's the explanation for the z-targeting mechanic (meaning she's always insanely important), and I liked her as a character.

She's also seriously not that hard to ignore.

Where have you been? The popular thing these days is to hate FFVII. If anything, you're being uncommonly restrained.

I think "The Path", ".flow" and "Yume Nikki" are fantastic. That includes the gameplay itself.

Any gamer who's played any of those three will immediately tell me how the gameplay was the worst part of the games, but what can I say! I LIKE wandering around slowly!

I actually liked Fable 3. Yes the story was wonky and the good/evil choices didn't make sense, but it had the most fun battle system in any RPG I have played.

I played for about 4-5 hours and never died. After that I got bored and turned the game off.

And the water temple wasn't that hard.
I don't think it was hard. I just think it didn't have the same linearity of the rest of the dungeons (in any other Zelda game ever) which makes it sort of a labyrinth for at least your first go.

I thought Majora's Mask was way better than Ocarina of Time. Fable 2 and 3 were good games but Lionhead needs to prevent Peter Molyniex(or however you spell his name) from speaking. Call of Duty is a good series and enjoyable to play most of the time. Dragon Age 2 was also a good game with a couple of bad design choices. I will get a lot of hate for this one but, Final Fantasy is a terrible series. Yes I have played VII and I hated it. In my opinion it is just a series of games that should have ended long ago and Square should have moved on to bigger and better things. Again this is my opinion and Final Fantasy is not my type of game I guess even though I do like other JRPGs.

Modern Warfare 2 was quite fun to play. I had a blast playing spec. ops with my roommate and the campaign was something I could actually get through... even though the story did not make sense and it mildly pissed me off.

Final Fantasy 10 and 12 be horrible games and 7 being the greatest jrpg ever.

10 and 12 were actually pretty good, both combat systems were imho the best in their respective types, 10 for the clearly defined turn-based strategy, and 12 for its open world fight style.

Much of the criticism was aimed at the stories but I mean really what else do you expect from Sqenix?

And on the topic of FF 7, ehhh yea it was pretty good but other games (I.E. Legend of Dragoon on the same system) did it better.

Yeah, it was amazing at the time, but I don't think it's aged well at all, and I don't just mean graphically. Also, I cried when Aeris died. Tears of sheer joy. I got your back, mate.

No hate from me, but if you like turn-based strategy at all, you should at least try Tactics. The first PS1 one, anyway.

Creepers aren't scary. Just annoying.
Dante isn't cool. He's Captain N's Simon Belmont.
Oblivion is better than Morrowind. Streamlining can be a good thing.
Dead Rising's new-game-plus-in-the-middle-of-your-game mechanic was actually pretty neat.

just because hating cod is popular does not mean the games are not bad.
RPGs from Japan are never hard, because you can always grind your ass off and make them piss easy, so they are just time consuming. That counts for demon's souls too.
Bioware peaked with BG2 and now they just make really well written shooters/action games.
having menus and hud elements be part of the game world is stupid.

I have never played nor have any interest in playing Final Fantasy or Zelda. I don't enjoy multiplayer at all. Minecraft is really neat, but man I find it boring.

Heroes of Might and Magic 3 had some of the best replay value of any game ever.

I agree with this. Other than the very obvious ways that the lone wanderer's death could have been averted I liked the ending quite a bit. I wish more stories would be willing to have tragic endings.
