I like the new My Little Pony show. Is it really that weird?

Yeah, the animation from what I can tell is very similar to Panty and Stocking's style. I am not sure if that should just be interesting or profoundly creepy given the crap that goes on in Panty and Stocking.

I wouldnt be surprised if the makers of that pony show saw PSG XD

Actually, I've had a couple people suggest this show to me, I thought they were somewhat insane...until I watched an episode with my friend's daughter. It is actually well-written and pretty damn funny, it's not something I'd watch often but it's quite good, especially compared to other kid's shows.

This show is very entertaining. I have been debating with myself whether or not to share this with some friends of mine.... It could be awkward if they don't give it a chance or dislike it....

I actually really like the show! To me it is sort of like Invader Zim. Yes it is a kids show, but the characters, pacing, and animation have this "off" sort of quality that makes it unique and enjoyable. Yeah you also have to get past some of the stuff that is either dumbed down to kid level and the "moral of the day" that every episode has, but the ride there is fun and comically self aware of its potential appeal to non kids.

In the first episode when Fluttershy first sees the dragon I was like "...I swear to God I know her..." and immediatly called a friend of my and told her "Trust me, you gotta watch this.."

This thread couldnt have been more perfectly timed, as I just discovered this show last night at like 10pm while randomly surfing Demotivational Posters. I wish I knew how to embed pictures in these so I could share it.

Well I used to love Powerpuff Girls and would still watch them today and not only for nostalgia factor, and I had a MLP action figure (Its not a doll dammit!). Also, being that its animated by the person that did Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends I'll have to say that its perfectly fine to watch it. Don't listen to close minded ass holes that think you must conform, do what you want for your own reasons.

Besides, everyone on the Escapist knows that ponies are AWESOMEEEEEE!

My existential crisis about liking this show has been overthrown by the joyful glitter-crack that is MLP. Anything that can make me grin for twenty minutes straight... then another twenty minutes, and then another and another, while remaining intelligent, self-aware, and plain damn funny, has GOT to be good for me.
