There you go.

Ok so the game has bad graphics, but im pretty sure I have seen worse and yeah the gameplay it feels broken somehow.... Ok so i Rent the game expecting pure garbage and Rage quitting or something and you know what? I really really enjoyed the game, maybe people expect a lot of this game and yeah who wouldn't it took 12 years or something like that. I wasn´t expecting anything, in fact I have never played other duke game in my life. The game feels old, but it was a fun ride.

Do you really think is THE WORST GAME OF THE DECADE?

This is the only instance in the history of the internet when you can say for certain YOU WERE THE ONLY ONE.

I keeeeed :p

Everyone's entitled to their opinion man. There are definatly worse games out there and I think if you don't take DNF too seriously it can be an amusing distraction.

I can relate. I seem to be the only person who thinks that the Max Payne movie wasn't awful. Wasn't great, but it was a decent action flick. Granted, I went in expecting something that'd make me destroy the disc out of anger, but still...

It's ok dude. You've come out. You've admitted it. Now all we need is a priest and some holy water and we can get to work on a cure. /kidding

Seriously though the game wasn't terrible. It was mediocre and forgettable, but not terrible. The only reason so many people got their knickers in a twist about it is because it had the name Duke Nukem in the title.

Actually now that I think about it, Kane and Lynch 2 was pretty horrible.

Good for standing up for what you think mate. Personally I'm not all impressed with DNF but it certainly isn't the worst game of the decade. That title is reserved for Alone in the Dark.

I haven't played that one, so I don't really allow myself to talk about it

Jeff Bridges said it first.

It was Ok, but not "I want to play it again!" material on my side.

2011 had worse games than Duke Nukem Forever. Just ask all the people who havne't bought their 3DS's yet. Or are you saying you'd rather spend the night playing Sims 3D or, Fantasy Pets 3D than DNF?

As for Duke Nukem Forever, I've played it on the PS3 and am still waiting for another price drop before I grab my copy. I know it's $40 now but I'm still going to wait until a Black Friday sale or something. I had fun with it while I played it though. It was stupid funny and the shooting was functional. It could have been better but it could have been a lot worse. It could have been Critical Mass ~Shudder~

I thoroughly enjoyed it too. Call me immature, but it had me laughing the entire time I was playing it.

The graphics, seeing as it's basically tech from 2001-2004, are very impressive. The gameplay, with the PC version's 4 weapons ystem, is very enjoyable and well paced with puzzles and jumping sections. The story sucks, and the humor...eh. It's not that I didn't laugh at the game, quite the opposite quite a bit of the time.

My problem with the humor is that alot of the jokes are just there for the sake of having a joke. Not alot of the jokes seem to be the result of the situation calling for it or the joke just feeling right, but because the writer thought it'd be funny to have it there. Like when that car hits the crane you're riding? The "Uh-oh" Duke says complemented the scene and was worth a chuckle because it works as a joke despite not having much to it. Then when Duke gets up and starts to head out, he says "Looks like this is where I get off".

No wit, no point, and no laughs from me. I mean, if Duke phrased it right or used a more original line, it could have been a nice follow up. Maybe even taking a second to wonder how the hell they launched a car at him like that could have been a nice Lampshade Hanging:

(For those who don't know)

But no, just a bland phrase that's there because we wanted a joke there. Didn't really care if it was funny, just tossed something in there. Overall, though? I like DNF. I'd go so far as to say I fucking love it depending on how its DLCs turn out.

What little I played, I didn't enjoy. It seemed like it could have been cool, but the years had just taken the toll. I didn't like the controls and most of the humor feel flat to me.

To each his own.

So, I didn't hate Dragonball Evolution. I know it wasn't good. But I wasn't expecting a live action DBZ, but a interpretation of the original Dragonball set in more modern times. I did hate the interpretation of Yamcha (surfer dude that didn't fight), but, beyond that, it was what I expected.
I didn't like, either, though.

Warning, this post may contain spoilers.

Duke Nukem was decent. Maybe. Towards the end it felt like it got better, but that was probably because it started reminding me of half-life 2 (what with the gunless vehicle, and the shutting down the warp gate that was going to bring a steady stream of enemy reinforcements, and the increased focus on puzzles). Unfortunately, I only got that far because I had run out of things to do (for the moment) after being scared away by the horribly boring first 3 levels or so (including the first shrunken segment).

What really frustrates me is how contradictory it was received. Leading up to the release, people were psyched to get back a franchise that reveled in that 90's dinosaur pop culture, making overdone references, being openly sexist, celebrating and criticising hypermasculine culture and so on. And yet, when you look at reviews and commentary post release, it's one major defining criticism. "Duke is too crass" they say, "That alien hive penis place was in extremely poor taste" they decry. They're saying Duke has no place in the modern age, almost doing a heel-point-turn about their opinions. Why? Were they afraid of sticking to their guns and so holding up the Duke as a sacrificial lamb?

I had high hopes. Duke Nukem 3d is one of the cornerstones of my upbringing. I bought DNF for my pops on fathers day. I thought the games was complete shit, and i really really wanted it to be good. I'm just talking about the gameplay here by the way don't even get me started on everything else.

Modern Warfare 3 releases this year, so DNF won't be holding onto that title long, after all.
