My friend thinks Justin Bieber is the greatest thing ever, and I said have you listened to Opeth? She said no and I showed her a few songs, and she said it was horrible...she said Bieber was better than Opeth...what is wrong with this world??

Btw: I told her don't look at what you enjoy more, but look at the songwriting and structure and instrumentation, and she still said Bieber was better

Because opinion is cause for faith in humanity. Some people don't look at music like that. I'm a musician myself and don't like opeth. It's all opinion.

Anyway, the only Opeth song I really liked was their cover of Alice In Chain's Would, and thats cause I'm a huge AiC fan. their other stuff is good, but not great.

Besides, maybe she just likes that genre of music. Just cause YOU think that JB sucks doesnt mean SHE should think it sucks. I'm sure there are people that honestly say Opeth sucks and mean it.
