I absolutely love cheese. Actually I've always enjoyed dairy products such as cheeses, yogurts, sour cream, etc.

You want to know something that really sucks though? I got diagnosed as lactose intolerant this year. Which basically means that I can't eat anything with milk in it without getting ill.
But I've been experimenting with what kinds of dairy products I can handle and how much of them I can eat. From what I've figured out I can basically handle small amounts of 'hard' cheeses but any thing dairy related that is either a soft cheese or basically liquid makes me sick.

So fortunately I can still eat cheese, but I can only do so rarely and I have to watch how much I eat. I guess in one way it's a good thing, at least it forces me to watch what I eat. I used to be 30 kilos(66Ibs) heavier than I am now which was probably partially due to how much dairy product I was consuming(prior to about three years ago I was eating cheese on all of my evening meals and I liked to have toasted cheese and tomato sandwiches for lunch frequently).

Oh and as a side note, I am stunned by the kinds of food that contains dairy products. I only started noticing how much food contains dairy when I started checking the ingredient lists.

For instance, I can't eat most brands of salt and vinegar chips because they contain "milk based products"(as do other flavours of chips).

How the hell does chopped potatoes sprinkled with salt and vinegar contain dairy products? I probably don't even want to know.

If I had my way, just about everything would have blue cheese in it/on it. Put some blue cheese in your next omelette and on your next burger, thank me later.
