Corn mash is disgusting.
I drink beer and whiskey, like any self-respecting pathetic mess of an addict.

Never had any experience with it myself, but my grandfather apparently tried to make some of the local potato-based type of home-stilled alcohol.

It seems he failed badly at it and the result ended up tasting so horrible that he fed it all to the pigs...

Hilarity ensued!

I've never had moonshine per se. We did find a few bottles of pear wine in the garage that my grandpa attempted to make, and that stuff was best described as rocket fuel.

I'm surprised it isn't more common in Canada what with the ludicrous prices on alcohol in this country. Actually it wouldn't at all surprise me if it was more common in the Nova Scotia and Newfoundland areas...

(If anyone has recipes they're willing to share, PM me :p)
So a quality moonshine at 10 dollars a bottle would sell there you think? how strict are your laws on that?

seriously I smell money at 1000 gallons thats 10 grand.also they got copper still kits for your own use online everywhere.

I used to be able to afford different sorts of liquors. Never much liked beer or wine; they both cause bloating--unpleasantness all around.

Since my financial devastation, I keep to drinking cheap vodka.

I think you're confusing people by calling it moonshine, OP.

Most people, when reading your thread are going to assume you're talking about actual moonshine, i.e., illegally distilled alcohol (and it's not flavoured), rather than whatever weird booze it is you're actually talking about.

OT: I never tried moonshine myself. There's no need for it when you can get your hands on proper alcohol instead. Plus, I don't want to risk methanol poisoning.

Before I turned twenty I drank all kinds of moonshine from all sorts of weird people, not that I liked it. It was a part of the neverending quest to find booze. Other methods included stealing from my parents, going to parties and mooching off of everyone else until I got a buzz and asking randoms if they would buy some for me.

Then boom! Turned twenty and life finally made sense again.
