Left 4 Dead (both games really)

I'll admit, outside of Battlefield, I don't play with friends a lot. I don't have a crew, squad, clan whatever.. But I didn't think any community would be so against having a person they didn't know join their team BEFORE they judge my ability to play the game. Giving a rough estimate, I get kicked out of lobbies 9/10x before the game even starts. Most of my L4D experience is single-player.

This is why i stick to 1 v 1 fighting games. I dont have to rely on my team to not suck.

To me this is basically every game. Haven't found one I thought was improved with other players. If I could play an MMORPG on a completely dead server, that'd be awesome!
Other players always ruin games.
The problem for MMORPGs then is content meant for parties. Can actually do a pretty decent job of ignoring everyone in an MMORPG until endgame content sometimes
Another problem is that class based games have to balance the fact not all classes are viable for solo play, and people like to play as them. You either do some research after playing and ditch out every class in favor of the self healing + damage dealer + heavy armor wearing powerhouse archetype or lower the difficulty so that a Mercy can have a fighting chance.

In WoW, I played as a shaman (the one that focuses on AoE heals and buffs), which is a nice role to play in a party and is sustainable enough to be playable in the earlier levels without relying on potions, but show me more than a handful of enemies in the middle sections and I was dead meat unless I teamed up with someone. In Diablo 3, my favorite class was a barbarian tank... I would laugh at Diablo in Torment as he spammed ray beams to my face and was basically inmortal, but I had to spend a whole minute left clicking to kill a giant rat; unless I teamed up with people or lowered the difficulty, the game became basically unplayable.

Yeah I have this issue with games like Payday 2 sometimes. I personally like doing stealth heists, especially with 0 body counts (at least civilian ones). But I get really annoyed when I join a PUG group to do a stealth, and someone just runs around killing all the civvies instead of tying them up. We clearly have enough ties, I know, because I can see everyone's loadout on my screen, and it's more than enough. It's just some douche who wants to kill them all, because he can't seem to wait an additional 10 seconds to tie them all up.

I know it doesn't negatively impact ME in the game, as he is the one that gets the cash penalty, and most players have so much cash that the penalty is a joke. But I just dislike the casual disregard of it all.

I understand that. Especially when you talk before the game, say to only have casual body armor and low attention clothes. And everyone agrees... until the one asshat decides to shoot a guard and then leaves the game.
