I've never been a rager. If I lose, I lose. No big deal. Isn't the first time it's happened, won't be the last time. At the end of the day, it's just a game. There are far more legitimate things out there to get pissed off at. Hell, just turn on the nightly news.
That said, I've known people who rage. I had a high school friend who put an X-Box controller through a wall because no one wanted to play the map he wanted to play in Halo 2 (because we'd already played it, by his demand, like four or five times in a row). I also used to raid with a guy in World of WarCraft who would typically play drunk, and would completely lose his shit if anything went wrong.
The place were I tend to encounter it the most is Call of Duty multiplayer. I mostly play MW3 these days, and the amount of people who rage in that game is ridiculous. I pretty much never bother responding to it, but I do get a bit of a chuckle every time someone rages about me camping because I killed them from across the map with a bolt-action rifle.
A part of me admittedly does find how easily they get distraught to be hilarious.
