I may have friended some people. You might be one of them. I'm serious.

Unless you are hardcore Call of Battlefield fan, you should have non-binary brain
It is only acceptable if you mostly play SGWWs online.
Ah yes, SGWWs - those are not among my favourites. Actually what does SGWW stand for? Google tells me it's most likely "Stephen Galvano Worldwide" or "Stealth Group World Wide".

And why did you have and ruin things for me? Now I have to accept that there are more than two sides to things - mine and wrong. Also, everything is more complicated - there are these, like, shades of things between the extremes. I can't take it, it's too much input.
I'm sorry for making you feel bad
But consider it like a surgery- we must cut you open before you can recover :)

You know, I've never really thought much of forum "friend" lists. To me, it's generally assumed that if you're adding me, you've got some reason for it. I like to think it's because of my [admittedly rare] posts. And, generally, I'm aware of what these reasons are.

However, on the off-chance I have honestly no bloody idea why someone has added me, I'll send them a message more-or-less along the lines of "Euh, why'd you do that?". Not because I'm trying to insult them or indicate that I don't like them, simply that, I like explanation and order in my world. Thus, if something doesn't make sense to me, I like to have it explained. As such, I ask for explanations.

For the record, no, I honestly have not received, as best my knowledge, any "friend" requests simply because I am a moderator. I'd put this activity down to the fact that I tend to not post that often [see: this being my 3000[sup
]th[/sup] post in over 3 full years here]. I tend to be honestly surprised when anyone actually knows who I am if they don't frequent the Escapist IRC channel [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/chat/].

That being said, I completely understand your social fears about adding someone as a friend, [user]DoPo[/user]. It is common to worry that someone has misunderstood your intentions, especially when they've been lingering for a while. It is completely logical, to me. As such, I find this thread to be a nice touch, especially considering the vast number of requests you sent out, supposedly.

Having said all of this, I truly appreciate the friendliness that your OP embodies. It certainly adds... something... to the holiday spirit. The fact that you did go out and add people that you enjoy seeing around, speaking to, and appreciate sharing the forum with. The fact that you wrote this out as explanation for these roughly 65 people. And, of course, the fact that you have gone out of your way to get over a fear. And the fact that all of this was done in such a positive manner... [small][Granted, more discussion value could have been added... Though, so long as there are people responding intelligently whilst on topic, your thread has discussion value, does it not?][/small] This. This is much more the spirit I like seeing around the forums. Please continue.

As such,

Words, and stuff.
DoPo, you have Empireth's stamp of approval for this thread. Not that that really means much.

Clue in the OP? But more specifically for you...hmm, it's a variety of reasons - I can't list them all, as I can't remember them all. It boils down to I enjoyed reading your comments so my impression of you is good. Sorry, I can't be more specific but there just isn't a one thing I can say other than "you gave me a good impression overall".

Be that as it may, I am still happy to receive it. :) And I am grateful you gave me your 3000th post virginity - I feel honoured. I don't think I've done that with a mod before. Actually, I'm not sure I've done it with regular users, therefore the experience with them must have been much more forgettable :D

Well I'm glad I gave you a good overall impression. See you round the forum, and happy christmas!

Hooray, I'm one of the chosen people! :D

It's not everyday I get a friend request seeing as I'm not really all that well known around these parts, but still. We chat enough and get along, so why not?

Hmm, I see now what your game was, @DoPo:

You were just after my much coveted 'Cyber Celeb' badge!
You saw through my cunning ruse, did you? Yes, I was actually not after masking my friendship with Daystar using befriending all the rest as a cover, in fact, I was using that as a cover for the badge.

Seriously, though, I...got that through cheating. Even if I added 65 people, I wasn't going to get 100 friends, I didn't really expect to add many more after the thread. I expected some, but not as many as I ended up having. And still, I have 98 friends on my list right now. But if somebody clicks the "Add to friends" link more than once, it counts as being befriended more than once. Some people ended up doing it twice, or three times, one person did it 15 times. I probably have close to 150 friends in the system right now XD And the reason I have it shown is because I'm doing a theme thing with the avatar and the badges all having sunglasses. And Duke Nukem just looked quite out of place there, being the most coloured badge. The Cyber Celeb is slightly better because it makes me happy and reminds me of this thread.

Looks like I'm fashionably late to the party.

Thanks for the friend request man, it wasn't creepy since I've seen you around enough times, and we've had some conversations. Congratulations on actually... doing your new years resolution.

[sub]Even if as Topaz pointed out I might have been used as a stepping stone for the cyber celeb badge. I an honored to be stepped on by you DoPo.[/sub]
