Absolutely agree. There's still jazz and blues out there, but so much of it is just covers and tributes to the oldies.

Ericc Bibb is incredible, by the way. I also highly recommend people look for Errol Linton's "Roots Stew".

I miss any music with some soul behind it... things are very bad at the moment.

Although... I was mad impressed with Seasick Steve and Joe Bonamassa

Not to say it is dead

I would love to see it come back as a genre
Umm..

You said yourself its not dead, so whats the problem. You just have to look a bit harder.. Actually, you don't.. Go to your local music ship and find the jazz section.

People have given a bunch of great names to this thread, so I guess I'll add some.

The future of Jazz seems pretty great, I know a bunch of young musicians who are amazing, and @Berethond is only 16 *Still freaked out*

I thank you guys. Since I got into drumming I've been more and more interested in jazz music, mainly for the drum beats, however if you plug "Jazz" into itunes you get...errrm...pretty shit slow jazz, which I do not like at all. I shall have to invest some time into scouring the interwebz.

:)

However this was more of an evolution rather than a strict revival, which means that there is room for a jazz revival, and guess what - a revival of pre-war "swing jazz" is happening right now.
Really?! I reckon that Michael Bublé is part of that revival?
Well, sort of, but he's a pretty watered-down, safe-for-Mum version.

I just LOVE the sound of that guitar, but I just can't find what genre it is or what other artist play music like that. Now if anyone could help me get my hands on more music like this, I'd be in your debt forever.
It's just acoustic blues slide guitar. It's as common as mud. Go into any music store, go to their blues section and look for someone playing an acoustic guitar with a big metal or glass pipe on his finger. There you go.

For a great example of jazz being brought back into fashion, just listen to Michael Buble (as someone posted above), or Victoria Hart, here:

I miss it too. Mind you, jazz is not gone, it has evolved into something I just can't stand. Acid jazz, funk jazz, no thanks. I too stick to Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard just to name some, and I miss them all dearly. And the worst is, it won't come back. Bebop and hard bop are gone, damn.

Blues however, isn't just very alive, there is also plenty traditional blues music around. B.B. King is still going strong, so is Buddy Guy. Here's to hoping they won't die soon, and that young folks are inspired by them to follow them up. It would be a great loss if their musical style would go away, even if it evolves into something different.

Along with the style of Frank Sinatra and big band.
Frank Sinatra you say? Do not fear good friend, for there is still hope! And that hope comes in the form of Michael Bublé, really the new Frank Sinatra. Yes you hear his poppy-jazz stuff on the radio, and that's a bit blah, but what you won't hear is his amazing old-school work. Let me give you an example:

PS:
I also like to use this topic for my search for more blues music. Specifically music that sounds like these songs:

if you mean the type of western style in it then this is pretty good and by the same person

Then do enlighten me with better examples than mister Bublé, I'm very curious.

That'd be nice, IF I had proper music stores around here. Which I, sadly, don't, so I'm bound to the internet to find new music. Care to share some artists who play music like that? I'd be very grateful, the songs I posted already mellow me out when I'm pissed, I need some more stuff like that.
