Just got out of a rough relationship with a girl and looking for something to entertain my time. Something that would just be fucking awesome to do. Any suggestions?

EDIT: Also something I could do in class is preferable, I have an easy semester.
Painting Miniatures. 1. it takes time to do it well (essential to a hobby) 2. Women LOVE artists. 3. It is a pretty cheap hobby.

I know no one uses Myspace anymore, but this is the only place i have some of my Pics of miniatures uploaded to. (Need to add them to another place) And i am not the best of painters and consider myself ABOVE novice. But it is fun, satisifying, and the chicks , as i said, love an artist.

PS. I used to paint in class in High School when nothing was going on.

Shooting Guns is always fun, and if you do it right its a hobby. Get some cheap guns that are fun to shoot and cheap like an AK-47 or and mosin nagant, or if you want a pistol Taurus and High-point make good cheap guns. Then buy bulk ammo and go to the range. Guns are a great investment and hardly ever loose value and its something that can really get into. I only advise you get a gun were ammo is cheap because that what costs you money.

Personally I'd say go with archery, and be able to fire multiple arrows at once (though I have bias given I'm working on that myself right now ^^). Only warning I'd give is be careful with how you learn to fire it, very easy to rip up your forearms and fingers.

Hey, you could even do it in class if you are *really* badass.

One of my mates is trying to get me into boxing because he thinks I'm the right build for my height. Could be worth a laugh.

awesome pencil tricks
Learn a new language (probably German, Russian, or Japanese)
Try writing with your other hand (and then you can brag that you are ambidextrous)

Those were the things that popped into my mind when you said that you prefered your hobbies to be in-class...not sure if they are bad ass though.

How about Parkour? Or a martial art?
Both are fun and completely badass.

Also learning to sing/play music is always cool

Good luck to you whatever you choose!

Underwater Basket Weaving is the hobby for you then! Creating baskets underwater? The bad-assiest thing to ever be created on this side of the universe!

knife throwing.. you just need a target and some knives (throwing knives are nice but any knife works) im scary accurate with a steak knife

or weapon collecting. if you learn about the kinds of things you get and know how they are made its alot better than just hording sharp objects

or motorcycle riding/mechanics. if you can take apart and put a motorcycle back together its like having badass written on your face at all times

random building stuff. im a day off and a wood steamer away from building my own acoustic guitar and a few lengths of silk away from making my own badass silk robe

(edit: just need the right materials for making a longbow and archery is in)
(and im gathering the equipment for knifemaking)

Im going to second the butterfly knife flipping because not only is it bad ass but if you start with a training knife it should be fine in school because there isn't anything sharp. Just sit in class, learn to flip it around and viola! (not quite) Instant badassitude! If you are just looking for something to do in boring classes then I would suggest building card pyramids, thats what I did senior year of high school, I eventually got them high enough that I was able to stop 2 seperate classes.

Try Flaming Baby Launching.

Naw, but in seriousness, gun shooting, archery and parkour are all pretty badass.

first get in shape, then go get laid dude, take all your freinds girls... that is badass
That... no. That's not even a hobby. That's just being a terrible human being.

I think you should rethink your attitude towards life.

Bungie-jumping, white-water kayaking, paintball, parkour, mastering a martial art. All of these things are sooo much fun (I speak from experience) and make for great stories

My suggestion? Volunteer fire fighting. Totally awesome, plus it has the added advantages of not only helping people in need, but using some pretty awesome power tools like the jaws of life for extrication, and vehicles as in the fire truck or in some cases ambulances. Do you need anything more awesome than that? Fine... It has the potential to help meet girls as an automatic icebreaker and really what girl hasnt had at least one fantasy about a fireman?

Not something you could do in class, but if you learn to shave with a straight razor, that's instant, undeniable man-points. Almost nothing is as manly or as ballsy as saying "hey, I want to get rid of the hair on my face. I'll just cut it off with a fucking knife because fuck technology."

You could always take up poetry--depending on what you're going for in terms of "badass" this could either be a terrible idea (either you're a terrible poet, because some people just are, or the suggestion itself is not at all what you were looking for) or a great one, because a lot of people with a brain will respect decent poetry/writing. But that depends on people around you having a brain, something I cannot speak on or assume about. The major upside to this is you can do it basically anywhere and if you get good at it, you'll be able to win rap battles on the fly. Hell, I can basically speak in iambic meter if I try a bit at this point. Not quite to the "rhyme like a boss" part yet, though.
