Okay, I've hit a game burnout phase. I'm sick to fuck of shooters, both first and thrid person. I finally got around to trying the two games that I got with the ps3 welcome back program. Turns out that WipEout is pretty much an f-zero rip-off and that the whole damn thing is floaty as hell and you can't turn off that fucking irritatingly digital, repetitive and loud announcer without turning off the whole game's audio except for the music. Little Big Planet isn't really good without a friend or two or three to play it with.

Anyway, just give me something that preferably doesn't have a combat focus (though I will give it a chance if it does), isn't survival horror (I learned I'm not into that when I played Amnesia), isn't a shooter (AT ALL), has at least somewhat original gameplay and is on PS3.

The Uncharted series, it does have quite a bit of combat I admit, but that isn't the only focus, as you also have to explore the area and there is tons of platforming to do.

Think of it as a next-gen Tomb Raider, but with a dude, and better gameplay.

Braid :D It's a puzzle game but it's actually really fun and makes you feel superior to humanity whenever you solve a puzzle :D

Deus Ex. Okay, it's a shooter, but you don't have to kill anybody. It's the most interesting game in the world. And Steam is selling it for less than a cup of Starbucks coffee.

Okay, I just checked and the sale is over. STILL, only 7 bucks.

I was gonna say Batman Arkham Asylum is on sale for $7.50 on steam, but even if it isn't on sale it's still awesome on PS3.

The saboteur? It's kinda GTA : Sneaky WW2 Paris edition. You only really get into combat if you fuck up on missions. I've spent half of my playthrough dressed a German performing "Sucker Punches" with the butt of a MP-40.

Seriously, this game considers a stealth takedown to be that of grabbing a rifle by it's barrel and swinging it like a baseball bat at a dudes head.... it works as well.

Oh, and nearly all the chicks that turn up in it are really hot. Especially the Nazi Bodyguard one.... screwed up that is.

I'm gonna say Infamous 2. It does have a focus on combat, but it's not a shooter and the gameplay is actually really, really unique. The way your powers, your health, and the environment all interact makes for some of the most distinctive gameplay out there. Plus, the story and characters are surprisingly very well written.

Disgaea 3. It's a tactical RPG, so it is pretty extensively combat focused; with party placement and arrangement adding to the configuration. Large emphasis on equipment though, as the gear you choose and level can make or break character builds.

Gran Turismo 5 and Heavy Rain. The first is an excellent driving simulator; the second, in my opinion, is one of the best adventure games of the current generation.

Super Meat boy. Or Dragon Age Origins. Those are about as far from shooters as you can get, and damn fine games too.

You'd most likely enjoy Fallout 3, there is shooting to be done but the focus is on exploration and adventuring. Failing your interest in that might I recommend Assassins Creed 1 or 2, they're both exceedingly brilliant games. Running about on rooftops, having a city full of guards chasing you after a kill is some of the most invigorating action you'll ever find in a game.
