I don't have a middle name but I'm the third in my family that has douwe (It's a regio name) as it's name.
Im kinda confused. Is that supposed to be region, rego, or some word i havent heard before?
Not normally a spelling angry guy, but i spent more than 30sec trying to work out what it is (and i thought the idea of having a Rego as a family heirloom is pretty cool)

Why don't you just take your fathers name as a middle name ?
Samuel "Ian" Broderick?

How about "Elelbro" just to make your full name sound funny.

Samuel Elelbro Broderick.
Elelbro sounds like a Pokemon!

No, seriously em. You'd want to think about what you could use the middle name for and work off that i.e.what Kimdeal said above. You said you always wanted one so do you want a normal name or a lulz name? Theodore
"Hello, pleased to make your acquaintance. My name is Samuel Theodore Broderick (and by then you have your doctorate) but you can call me Doctor."
Maybe pick it after someone who means something to you like your dad or brother or uncle or whatever...

Peter - that's mine, but I give you permission to use it. Yeah, I know, I'm super generous like that.
Augustus - already mentioned, but I like it so I'll bring it up again.
Jason.
Jacob.
David.
Darcy - a good friend has it as a first name and I reckon it could be an excellent middle name as well.
Josef.
Lee.
William.
Theodore - ninja'd. Still good though.

I'd add some more if I think of them.

Middle names are for loosers. Go for a double-barrel first name like I do!

Jack-Lewis, feels good doesn't it?

;)

Homer's middle name is actually Jay, IIRC. The name rather than just the letter.

But I want a middle name, I have always wanted a middle name and being 19 and thus old enough to change my name in the UK I need suggestions on what it could be.
Scrap the middle name, and just have a middle initial. Something cool like X or Z. Imagine introducing yourself as Samuel X. Broderick. When people ask what it stands for, you can be all mysterious and secretive...

EDIT: Totally forgot, you could use von! Samuel von Broderick has a ring to it, no?

danger, trouble etc so you could say "danger is my middle name"
Bwaha, I totally ninja'd you!

And to all the people who are saying "Middle names are useless, don't get one, be unique!"
Middle names are awesome, what else is my password going to be?

Look back at your family history, is there a common first name often used?

It's all well and good picking something funny/foreign but you may well find yourself in a few years thinking "damn why did I change it to this?" thus having to change it again. (which the older you get will make it more of a pain in the arse)

I would say pick something that has importance either to you personaly or to your family/history.

Oh yeah, I remembered that episode incorrectly, I guess.

Something beginning with 'H' - you can be Samuel H Broderick

Else go for something impressive, or a name that you can identify with - perhaps a historical figure or something. Lots of them have good names. Abraham, or Woodrow, or Winston, for example.

EDIT: Added list:
Icarus
Benedictus
Ezekiel
Hephastus

or failing all those...

LEONIDAS!

Danger!

You can be all like, Danger is my middle name....
This, or Jay, so you can say "I'm Samuel J Broderick", and when they ask what the J stands for, you can just answer "Jay". Or Vader. Everyone secretely wants to have the name Vader.

Hussein. Then you can have the same name as two famous people in politics. One is a ruthless dictator and the other is Saddam Hussein. *crickets* OK it wasn't funny. but you should use Patrick. Never steered me wrong.
