Anyone ever restore a completely dead hard drive? It won't even boot from recovery disc. Typing this on my iPod, so I can't go into detail, take my word, it's a dead hard drive, laptop, Dell XPS m1530 500 gig; the stock hard drive that comes in that size.

Any miracles or should I eat the price of a new hard disc?

Well, your first mistake was not being me, or being near me. Everything always works around me. I've fixed red ringed xbox's just by talking to them. I have electronics from the 90's that still works great.

Your second mistake was buying a dell. I don't really know of anyone who has a success story with a dell product.

Third. If its dead, its dead. Sorry.

I know none of that is helpful, but sometimes there isn't anything helpful people can say.

If it's a dead hard drive, perhaps you should just shell out just a tiny bit more and get a new lappy?

actually eat the hard drive!

But seriously, unless you know a computer whiz, it may be necessary for you to buy a whole new one. I suggest you do some research into the possible reasons why it died?(RIP)

BTW, what kind of computer did you have?

Here I am...

... but unfortunately can't help with your problem.

My miracles only deal with the audio variation.
