I need a new addictive game!

hello there,

i own a ps3 and like playing games on pc (although my pc is very low tech so no recent game recommendations)

and i need to find a new addictive game, preferably online competitive,

just to make it that much harder,
I don't like fps' which most of the ps3 one's seem to be,

to give people an idea of my game interests,

i play
fifa, runescape (don't go off on 1), 3d platformers - sly cooper games are a big fave and a bit of everything as long as I can get into it.

Well, MLB 11: The Show is a PS3 game, and I find it very addictive. However, if you dislike baseball, you won't like it. (Since you like FIFA, I figured it might be worth a shot.)

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is pretty fun, and it's a 3rd-person action/stealth game.

There's also Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls or Valkyria Chronicles.

Only Valkyria Chronicles doesn't have online.

Well, for PC gaming... Flash Games are where it's at when it comes to addicting. As are Action-RPGs like World of Warcraft and Diablo II.

As far as PS 3's concerned, I have no clue. Is Torchlight available?

I game on a laptop I got refurbished for around $700 last year and it plays current games like Witcher 2/Deus Ex HR pretty well. If you can manage try those 2.

I was really addicted to Battlefield: Bad Company with the multiplayer, but that is a FPS of course.

Ug..I hate to say it, but try League of legends, it's addictive as hell. I must warn you though, i've put over 1000 hours into it, and most the time I still hate every second of it..very frustrating, stress-inducing game...but addictive. :/

Just Cause 2 is pretty good. You can get it on PC for $20, not sure how much it runs on console.

I'm going to second your suggestion. Though it's not multiplayer, it is one of the most addictive games I've ever played.

Or try Alien Swarm, for a 3rd person shooter. Lots of fun!

MINECRAFT!!!!! oh i love you so... right now its a little iffy for older comps or laptops getting extremely laggy because of the newest updates but other then that its rediculously awesome and they say their doing all they can to stop the problem with the lag

Gonna hijack this thread for a Minecraft question: Can you save your levels at all with the free version? I tried saving the file, it appears to work but then there's no file created. No, I don't want to pay for this piece of....

Anyway, if anybody knows then reply to me and I will be eternally grateful.

On Topic: If you like RPGs, Skyrim is coming out soon and it should be decent. If you can't wait 1 month, get the previous Elder Scrolls game; Oblivion. It's should eliminate your need to interact with humans for at least 200 hours, if you let it draw you in. Good luck!

2 things to this... minecraft free is not minecraft. if you play the real minecraft(10 measly dolllars) its a full fledged RPG unlike anything ive ever played..... however i think skyrim will top all games EEEEVVEER. or atleast until the next Elder Scrolls comes out after this one

Minecraft looks like a pile of ass, regardless of whether I pay for it or not. I was always pissed off by the annoying Minecraft fans. In an attempt to conquer my fear, I tried to play it. I did not know it would be so hard to get started. Tried a few different downloads, I registered on the site. Only then did I get the "GIVE MONEY" message, so now I'm playing the free version directly on the site. I just need to know if I can save levels or not, because otherwise it's pointless playing at all!

you should be able to if your using the same comp unless you delete your cookies constantly or something... but the free version is only construction not rpg look it up online to see what people make, then look up minecraft lets plays to see how to start and how fun and intriguing it can be
