i need a new book

I´d recomend these. By Neil Gaiman:

-Anansi Boys (dude dicovers his father is a god! His brother visits him and all kinds of awesome stuff happen)
-Good Omens(Armageddon is upon us and the only ones who can save us from the anti-christ are two buddies, one from heaven, another from hell)
-American Gods(dude got outta prison, his life is ruined, and all of a sudden he´s made an offer by a mysterious man. But can he trust him?)
-Coraline(the book that inspired the movie. Really great stuff!)
-Neverwhere(dude discovers a supernatural world on the London Subways!)

If you´re into comics, try these:

-The Walking Dead (now a hit tv series, it´s a zombie story that focuses less on the gore and more on solid characters)
-Morning Glories (Marvel´s Runaways meets LOST!Cool stuff)
-Preacher (one of the best Vertigo comics ever.Fun stuff)
-Midnight Nation (an underrated classic)

And of course the greatest fantasy novels of all time: The Song of Ice and Fire Saga...but be warned...it will ruin fantasy for you because nothing that you read after it will satisfy you...yes, it is that good.

Start with the first volume «A Game of Thrones». Oh, and if you don´t think you´ll like it , check out the tv show that´s debuting on HBO next spring.

Mark Z. Danielewski's House of Leaves is one of my favorites. It's a complex piece of work though, with experimental formatting all over the place. Footnotes inside footnotes (with it's own plot!) bizarre latter spacing to mirror the action, an unreliable narrator and a weird plot involving extra-dimensional space inside a closet.

A million times this. I love Caiphas Cain. Also, the horus heresy is generally a good read.

The Clockwork Orange by someone who I forget the name of( it helps if you watch the film first so you can understand what he is saying and what is going on) and Papillon by Henri Charrier - an amazing book, my definite favourite in all the world, a bog ol' book about a convict in the French Islands in the Caribbean with lots of anti-establishment views.

I would suggest not a book but actually a superman graphic novel called Red Son, its an alternate storyline of what would have happened if superman landed in soviet russia instead of america, and i know superman isnt the most interesting superhero but if you give it a chance you'll see that it is a very well written graphic novel with an awesome plot and is very memorable.

I strongly recommend it.

I just finished reading it. It's very moving, written with a lot of care. It's set in Germany during World War II, with Death himself acting as the narrator. It's classified as Young Adult fiction only because the main character is a young girl, but the themes are deep and meaningful.

I had a copy of that, but it mysteriously went missing....

OT: You can't go wrong with Tolkien or Pratchett.Have a look at this; there seem to be some good books on there.

If you're open to anything, I would be kicking myself if I didn't recommend the 'Bartimaeus Trilogy' and the newly-released prequel book.

Long story short it's about an ancient magical demon summoned into a parallel world where magic is everywhere and magicians basically run the government. They're amazing books, and it's almost impossible to NOT like the character of Bartimaeus.

Pratchett is probably alreasy mentioned too much... But he is still awesome!

On the more serious but weird side of litterature, I find Haruki Murakami to be awesome! He is a master of the ordinary surreal. Try him out!
