I need a Turbo Controller for the PC/Xbox 360. Any suggestions?

I purchased a Hori Ex2 Xbox 360 Turbo Controller. I simply suck at rapid button pressing games, and I've tried very hard at improving my ability at it. I'm currently going at it with my pointer finger and thumb pressed together to try to keep it on the controller as much as possible while spazzing it to lift it up and down to get the most pressENOUGH OF THE FREAKING NATTER, JUST STATE WHAT YOU'RE TRYING TO ASK!

Anywho, the controller I purchased (which I purchased long enough ago that I'm not certain I could get a refund, but I'll probably try it when I wake up tomorrow) has three huge problems now.

For one, -both-, not just one, not just the other, but -both- control sticks -Ghost-. If you don't know what Ghosting is, it's when the position of the control stick is set to anywhere but the default position (or some other shit like that, I still liked it when I thought the controller was possessed), and the sticks put in inputs that you didn't ask for, or at least input in ways they shouldn't be. Very crippling in any situation that uses the dang things.

Secondly, it quits on me randomly. It just decides, after anywhere from 5 mintues to 30 seconds of play, on both the computer and the xbox, that it's had enough, and stops recieving any input. It's weird because you'd think the light for it would go off, but nope. It just decides it hates me, but wants to continue to absorb power from the huge ass box it's plugged into. You'd think unplugging and replugging it would help, but it leads to the third error....

Which is that half the time, and by half I mean litterally 93% at least (and yes, I have done the trials and math to be comfortable with that statistic), the stupid piece of crap doesn't work with any system I plug it into, either. "USB Not Recognised" errors on the computer, the power light not lighting up on either game device, and myself fucking pissed at the stupid thing. Right now, as in at this moment and in time of this posting, it seems to be leaning more towards error number 2 (pretend it's working but completely ignores me), but for the most part, I'm lucky if it wants to even humor me and pretend it's working.

I know it's not the equipment, because the 360 doesn't get pissy about Rock Band or Charger based USB Equipment, and I'll burn Microcenter to the ground if my new $1000 desk top has any flaw beside already needing an upgrade or two (I might post a thread on this later...). But this controler,

http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Pad-EX-Turbo-Black/dp/B002LT9PXQ This one, if you wanna know to avoid it,

is a complete and total piece of -shit-. While my judgement may seem harsh, and myself seem trollish, the errors I've been having have apparently not been limited to me, and I take relatively good care of my equipment. Hell, my Super Nintendo, from whenever my parents got it, -still- works (although that may be less me and more that the thing's immortal).

In any case, I want a new Controller. It has to work for the PC/Xbox 360 (which shouldn't be too hard, since they both use USBS), and it needs the Turbo Option for buttons. Because I'm physically handicaped with my fingers. I can respond to any quick-time event in a second, I fear not most games with camera issues, I can pretty much do anything but stupid rapid button pressing events.... I suppose I should wrap this up before I have Mario Party related bad dreams...

In summation, I want a new Turbo Controller that works with Xbox 360s and Computers, and

The above controller is a piece of shit.

Escapist, any suggestions? The only other thing that matters is that I'm paying for School, Gaming, Friends, and my Life on 7.25 an hour for 16 hours a week (some days let me get a few more hours, but still), so I kinda can't afford an expensive controller 1/3rd the price of a console, and it should be capable of lasting me for a bit. Otherwise, it can be a guitar hero controller so long as it can be my special controller Xbox 360 and PC gaming, as well as for those stupid Rapid-Button-Pressing games...

If you need a turbo controller, you're doing it wrong.

If you're using a turbo controller for multiplayer, then I sincerely hope you get hit by a bus.

No offense.

Agreed completely.

If you're bad at a game, or at a certain skill, cheating is not the answer.

It seems kinda weird to express a desire for someone to die, then add "No Offense". Doesn't really cushion the blow all that much. Wet Paper infront of a Canon kinda thing.

With that said, I actually understand the above sentiment. I personally don't care, so long as A) The makers of the product the item would be used on don't care (in this case, the controller was licensed for the 360, so it doesn't seem like they actually give a flying f), B) The Mechanic the item would grant the benefit for isn't a overcentralizing mechanic for the game, and C) That the Item would be capable of being purchased by other people if they wanted it, with more emphasis on points A and B. Some people like custom stuff not normally associated with the basic product, and that seems eh to me. But I can understand people being offended by it.

I actually don't use the control -against- people in online play. Mainly 'cause I've no need for it there. I mainly use it for things like grinding online for a pc rpg that I might play. The biggest use of it I have recently is on PC Resident Evil 5. That stupid annoying end part where you have to rapid button press for a full 20-30 seconds, and any remote ease up results in instant death. It's ridiculous. Completely and utterly ridiculous.

I suppose I'm getting off the subject. Just felt like giving a responce, whether or not that justifies the view of me using a Turbo Controller. I'd like to respectfully ask that further thoughts over "right or wrong over using the Controller type" be kept to the user, or at least brought to a new thread to discuss. Suggestions for increasing the ability to button press without the controller (I'd be amazed if I found one that, with enough practice, would let me finally beat Mario Party 2) ALONGSIDE a recomendation for a good, sturdy, practical, and nonsuck USB Xbox 360 / PC Controller, however, are perfectly fine.

Anyone have any input?
