darkfall is the best mmo you can get imo.
Really? It was released in February and it has got only one review at Metacritics. That's weak, seriously.

I'd suggest Ragnarok Online on a private server. Best if 3/3/2 rates, this way you won't get bored with leveling, but you won't get bored with too fast leveling either.

thanks for all the support guys, means alot, I am gonna try the LOTRO trial.

also I am curious, what IS played more, CoH or CoV, the difference? and why etc.
I think CoH is more played, but that's only because it's older and it actually has a place where people gather to do quests and chit chat. But there's little point in starting CoH or CoV now - Champions Online is basically an upgraded version, and it's coming out on September 1.
I know a few ppl that are beta'ing Champions online and supposedly it's not all that...anyway. I'd pick city of heros/vilians. You get them both for the same price.. creation is umatched. the community aside for DDO is the most mature ive ever been apart of. They also have mission creation modes which include everythign from glowies to your very own enemies and villains (or heros) groups. They have a 3rd expansion coming up an enitre new world and pc's are going rouge where you can soon walk teh line between good and evil based upon choices u make. And or turn that lvl 50 hero into a villian and vice versa.. oh yea and the expansion is free.

.
its a low quality, indy developer made game. but its got a FPS combat system, massive seemless world, full player looting, siege and naval warfare. no other MMOs have any of these things. its not comparable at all. its never going to get a good review, its too radically different for its own good, and as I said very acquired taste of game.

tell me why would I go back to playing an MMO where my spells or arrows aren't aimed manually?

Siege - WAR.

Full Looting - I think Neverwinter Nights allows this, on certain servers. Same goes for few korean MMOs.

FPS combat system - Age of Conan.

Seemless World - any?

edit: Forgot about Fury, they had an TPS (third person shooter) system where you had to aim. But the game sucked.

You do not need an MMO.

As a gamer, I must say that World Of Warcraft was the worst idea I've ever had as to games to play. Yes, it's fun. Yes, it's addictive. But it's too addictive, and the fun wears out after a while.

Thankfully, the game gave me a better appreciation for RPGs (not so much JRPGs) so I would suggest finding a good waste of time that has an ENDING.

...And? How about you tell me how I'm wrong?

Saints Row 2 is an MMO for sociophobic misanthropes like me.

Its an MMO without all that pesky human crap.
