For Xbox 360 i suggest: Mass Effect, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Eternal Sonata (i played this game for like 30 minutes, and I regret not buying it after renting), and Bioshock (thats kinda RPG-ish).

PS2: Kingdom Hearts 1, CoM, and 2.
Is chain of memories redux any good? We only got the annoying GBA version -.-

I haven't played it yet, however my friends have, and they really like it. It seems interusting.

ANY DISGAEA GAMES. There are 2 for PS2 one for PS3.
Definitely play the first Disgaea. If you see a copy of Disgaea 2 though, find the nearest sledge hammer and kill it. KILL KILL KILL!

P.S. it may help if you say what RPGs you've enjoyed most in the past.

Disgaea 2 wasn't as bad as people say it was. The story was CRAP I must say, the humor was utterly lacking compared to the first and third as well. It did improve the game play though, I had fun unlocking all the cameos and messing around in the item world. (Seriously, if you didn't laugh at the defenders of earth cameo, either you have no sense of humor or you actually thought William Shatner was a good actor.)

Since Wii pretty much extends to GameCube, I'll go ahead and Recommend Skies of Arcadia, Tales of Symphonia and Baten Kaitos (because I've heard good things).

And on DS, I'll recommend Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, which is a great title.

Though, really, any Dragon Quest will do
Don't be fooled by the yellow username, OP. This proves the staff are fallible. I'd recommend VIII (as it looks fantastic) or V, unfortunately not based on my own experience...yet. Just don't go digging a NES or Gameboy Colour out to play the first three. And be warned that they are very traditional JRPGs.

Just to continue my subversive vibe, play any Final Fantasy (I'd say from VI to X first) if you haven't already. The first two Shadow Hearts games are pretty interesting, and have more engaging gameplay than many turn-based JRPGs. Final Fantasy Tactics on the PSP would be a very good choice if it's anything like the original, and if you can bear strategy RPGs. Persona, Suikoden, Tales of..., Xenosaga/gears, the list goes on. You're spoilt for choice.

Apparently Wild Arms is good if you can bear the graphics though, long too. I was thinking about playing it recently but Suikoden 3 won out.
*chuckle* Ok, fair enough. Stick to DQ IV and up. And good call on the Shadow Hearts, or even Koudelka if you can find it. Also, Dark Cloud 2 is a lot of fun.

Then there's Deus Ex. :)

Either of the Dark Cloud games on PS2, 2nd one is better. And if you can find it, Skies of Arcadia for Gamecube.
