Hell everyone,

First time posting on these boards so forgive my ignorance if this isn't allowed or I have posted in the wrong forums etc I have recently taken to posting videos on-line, my first one already published. My love for League of Legends knows no bounds (some days it does), and I wanted to share my trials and tribulations with you along the way. Some feedback (good or bad) would be most welcome. And if you feel like leaving a comment, or sharing, I wont stop you (captain shifty league of legends on YouTube).

My question to you guys though is how do I increase traffic to my channel, I mean are there any other players here who have some tactics as to how to get more exposure?

Thanks again,

all my love,
all of it,

Shifty

Just do and upload stuff that you would want to watch, the viewers will follow. Find a reddit that allows advertising your channel, maybe do some life streaming on twitch.

Your banter is OK, you'll do fine if you keep uploading videos just keep practicing. Consider recording in 60fps if your PC can handle it and look for a better mic or at least a pop filter.

I won't be following you because I dislike League and I dislike the high(er) amount of bad language. But that's not criticism, just my personal taste.

I recently started a silent Let's Play channel (no commentary), but haven't uploaded for a month because my computer packed up.
I've found I got a lot more exposure when I started streaming on Twitch with my Xbox. I've had a few people from there subscribe to the channel and usually get a few viewers watching most of the stream (get a moderator though, or make sure you're able to moderate). While I don't use my voice in the stream (trying to make no commentary my shtick), I do interact via text with the chat and it usually works out all right.
Set up a social media account specifically for that channel too (Twitter is probably best) and link it to YouTube. Any time I upload a video, it automatically tweets and it's likely someone will see the tweet somewhere and watch.
If you speak more than one language, translate your videos too. You're able to set a translation for your title and description. Anyone who watches my videos while YouTube is set to English or German will see the video title and description in those languages and, since I play my games in English, I put in German closed captions.
Otherwise, it's all about luck. If you do what you're doing because you enjoy it, it won't feel like a chore and the fame/money will just be a bonus.

Thank you all for the replies, it has given me some things to think about for sure. I am improving so I am just testing the water and seeing what works. Is my voice OK for listening to? Is it annoying lol? Thanks False Messiah and Creator002 for your feedback!
