Hey everybody. I'd like to go after some game challenges, but I've spent the last year over-seas, and I'm a little fuzzy. These can be from classic or new games from any console (not PC), and can include speed-runs, life limits, marathons, endurances, or what the hell ever! I'm waiting for a government pay check and have a lot of time to kill! Here are a few I've heard so far:

Cranky challenge- Beat Donkey Kong Country in under 1 hour, and using only 1 life

Command and Kong-quer- beat Donkey Kong for the Intellevision (ABSOLUTELY AWEFUL CONTROLS!!!!)

The No-komi code- Beat Contra... no Konami code!

Mega Man-iac- Beat mega man 1-10 in 24 hours

The Green Demon challenge- in the 1st level of Super Mario 64, activate the 1 up in the tree, and run away from it. Collect the 8 red coins before the 1 up catches up with you

the 3 in 1 challenge- Beat the original super mario bros (1,2 and 3) in an hour

duly noted- complete Godhand with the sign on your back (no Roulette usage)

The Rayman Rapid Run- beat Rayman origins without getting any crystal teeth, then get all the crystal teeth in a row, then beat the land of the livid

Moose ande Squirrel- Beat Rocky and Bullwinkle for SNES (stupid hard game)

These are just a few off the fly. What else ya got people?

Complete Vanquish on Godhard difficulty setting with zero recorded deaths (means you have to restart a level upon death, not from the last checkpoint)

Complete all Vanquish tactical challenges.

Beat any first person shooter with only moving backwards and only turning left. I just want to see somebody try this, although it's probably not as hard as some of the other challenges on here.

Any Mega Man game (for XTREME BRUTAL CHALLENGE TO THE MAXXXX! try MM7's final boss) beat every boss without using special weapons or healing items (Energy/Sub Tanks). Just the bosses. The levels themselves aren't much of a challenge anyway (unless you're playing MMX8 with its ubiquitous spike pits), and part of the fun of Mega Man is using bosses' weapons.

Get to 2k ELO Solo/Duo Queue in LoL. Good luck... The 0-1200ish range is pretty much how many trolls you can avoid and depends very little on skill. I'll stick to my Normals kthx. I can practise my AD Carry in relative peace there. #1 Miss Fortune EU!

I dunno how low you can get to realistically... Like 100 ELO? Is that a thing? I've heard of the legendary 500 ELO where you can literally walk in circles around your tower to juke any filthy divers.

Still you can pick someone who has super carrying potential, like Amumu or Malphite. Hell if you can communicate with your team for two seconds you could co-ordinate a huge AOE team of like Leona, Galio, Amumu, Malphite and Miss Fortune. For example. Your standard disorganised Yolo Queue team will have a fit after a few proper teamfights then immediately surrender in depression.

Literally press all the buttons concentrated in one area and everything will melt. These types of teams destroy lategame regardless of how fed one or two enemies are. Good luck getting anyone to listen to you. Hell I play with 5 man premade teams and we never bother to think up this shit :/

Annnnd re-reading it you said no PC. Fuck. YOLO!

Perfect pulling off some of the swagtastic UMVC3 combos. Zero's lightning loop, the swaggy Doom TAC combos and so on.

Complete Persona 3 in one sitting.
I can't see that being done without collapsing from exhaustion. So OP go try this.

Extra points for getting all social links completed.

Beat Demon's Souls with the starting Knight gear ONLY! No upgrades, no use of spells augmenting your weapon or armor. You can upgrade stats, but only to level 40. (Did this myself, makes the game 100x funner)

Beat Midnight Club: Los Angeles using only your starting car. No new purchases. (Gets controller snapping about halfway through)

3 hour speed run on dark souls (I know it can be done faster, but 3 hours is hard enough for me)
Killer Instinct 30+ hit combo with every character (non-ultra)
Chrono Trigger beat the final boss the first time you see him

Speedrun games that were never meant to be completed, like Minecraft or Simcity.

Some challenge ideas:

1. Simcity 4: Reach 1,000,000 population in as fast as possible on hard difficulty. Only mod allowed is NAM as it is basically required for the games transportation simulation to function in a city with over 100,000 people.

2. Minecraft: Kill enderdragon as fast as possible on hardcore

3. Skyrim: Speedrun a quest chain such as the Companions, the Main Quest, Thieves Guild, College of Winterhold or Dark Brotherhood. No fast travel. Starting with a new character on master difficulty. All gameplay altering mods disabled, graphical mods still allowed.

You can think up of these absurd speedrun challenges for any open world or godgame really.

For a good speedrunner try Nin2Jump on XBLA.

Otherwise get the CAVE shmup Akia Katana on the 360, play for score and aim for the top 25 on the leaderboard for Climax mode.

Don't let the fact its a bullet hell put you off, If you are a oldschool challenge gamer and know how to abuse game mechanics you'll should be able to manage. Just make sure you watch the tutorial (press b in the main menu) and watch a couple of replays.

I repeat don't let the fact it's a bullet hell put you off, as when you change to a man (phantom mode) you are invulnerable to damage of any kind as you are supposed to generate bullets and turn them into gold score items. This game is easy to play for survival (you have plenty of bombs to beat the bosses), its scoreplay where it shines r-e-a-l-l-y well

If you don't have a 360, buy the Exceed collection on steam and play Exceed 3rd

Or Play Sin & Punishment on the Wii.

beat dishonoured without being seen

beat darksouls with no shield and only magic (the shield bit isnt so hard but personally i find magic a ***** to use on its own)-special points beet the game with only miracles. not even sure if possible, unless maybe you hit people with the talisman, if you can kill the first boss like that you can sprint to the fire dragon and grind until your faith is high enough for warriors of sunlight and lightning spear...i actually want to try that now, not so keen on beating the asylum demon with a talisman though)

super golden child- beat catherine on hard, no deaths, all gold trophies (i almost did this but settled for all gold alone)

the why would you even try challenge- beat bloodwings-pumpkinheads revenge (the most pointless and difficult game that noone ever played, because why the hell would they)

In Goldeneye:

Play Bunker 1 and leave every guard dead without killing any of them yourself. Use Invisibility and Enemy Rockets.

In Driver 1:

Play San Francisco take a ride and complete this 7 point route as fast as possible. You will need invincibility, and even that probably won't save you.

In any arena shooter that has bots:

Collect all weapons lying around the level, then use all of them on your foes in a single life. Best done with explosive weapon sets

oh come on, that doesn't count. That's something one would like to do by his own will for his own benefit. WE have to go deeper! How about, completing whole Persona 3 using only Orpheus?

Beat Resident Evil 4 on Professional difficulty without buying anything from the merchant. That means no weapons (apart from the ones you pick up), weapon upgrades, inventory size upgrades, tactical vest, etc.

...Wow. I'm gonna have to try one that myself.

Hardest thing I've ever done is beat dragon age: origins on nightmare, but if you need more challenging, you can solo it on nightmare, or you can do a nuzlock run of pokemon, that's always fun.
