I really want to call my first son (if I have one) Lucifer but I don't think my mother, my son and most of the world wouldn't like and accept my choice of name. Plus the shortened form is "Luci" which is also bad.

I think you should name it... DOG
then you could say, "Hey want to see Dog?" and then show them your cat.
If you like Oblivion name it Cyrodiil
or
Lamaar, yeah, name it Lamaar

That would be kind of interesting, really.
Everyone in school would make fun of him though.
Or you could name him Eric. 'Cos that name's awesome.
