A grunge band... in 2010? As an industry professional, I'm very sorry to inform you that The Good Ship Grunge (ooh, now there's a name) left harbour a good 15-20 years ago. My advice to you is that unless you want to wait ten years for the inevitable grunge revival, forget about an original and creative name and maybe switch to some more original and creative music. Right now a good band name is the least of your problems.

Asking a forum won't help your problems, all great bands have an interesting story behind their band names. If you wait a while one will come along that means something to your band, not just one invisioned on a forum.

Unless of course he names his band "Escapist Suggestions" which fulfils the criteria. Though I admit it wouldn't be a very interesting story.

Why are you asking us? If your band is going to last (and as someone who was in a band or two himself back in the day, let me emphasize that that is an "if") you'll eventually find the name that's right for you on your own. Trying too hard (or asking people on a forum) is only going to end up forcing you into a name that isn't right for you.

What kind of music do you play? kind of helps with the name.

If you play heavy metal music, you can have my old bands name if you want "Miss-carriage of justice" is no use for me now lol

Problem with that band name is that it is something people can possibly understand. If you want a good bad name, it needs to make absolutely no god-damn sense. I mean, that's like a complete sentence, and bands just can't do complete sentences. I think there's a law against it.

I recommend the good 'ole Adjective Noun format, such as Red Salad or Fire-Retardant Monkey.
