okay, ive listened to alot of music, i mean all types, i dont care wat it is, if it sounds good and i can jam to it, then i listen to it. but im running out of bands and songs to think of. all im askin is you post bands and songs and video's you think are the shit and you think not alot of people have heard them. lets get the musc started

Let me introduce you to my good friend, Trip-Hop.

If you don't have the faintest idea about the genre, let me explain.

Trip-hop (or the Bristol sound), is a genre born out of Bristol's Downtempo scene in the early 90's. It fuses downtempo with complimentary Hip-Hop beats and scratching. Which gives the genre it's distinct sound. Despite not being a mainstream genre as a whole, It went on to influence mainstream music in a huge way in the coming years after it's decline in the UK in the early noughties.

Here are a few tracks from the genre, which I feel showcases the genre at it's best.

Oh man, I nostalgiad so hard listening to the Massive Attack song. I remember as a little kid my mom would always slot Mezzanine into the CD drive when we were driving somewhere. Really good album. Even today I listen to it from time to time. Some of the tracks cant be beaten for straight chilling out.

All I listen to when I was a child was Backstreet Boys and shit like that, so I grow rather envious that people who are exposed to great music at such a young age.

Most of the time though, it's bullshit, but that doesn't mean I don't believe you, I just find it hard to comprehend such a thing, as I have only just discovered this music not too long ago.

Haha, if it makes you feel better, I actually had a phase where I listened to Linkin Park, Korn, and other terrible so-dark-and-edgy-nu-"metal".

Theres growing up listening to shitty music, and then theres growing up listening to good music, and THEN going back to shitty music again. It takes a lot of teenage tastelessness to do that.

haha i had no taste as a teenager, just a sister that listened to good music, and my horizons broadened from a life of nothing better to do.

Bloodhound gang; they're all about the sexy time lol. Love listening to them for a good laugh. Reel Big Fish; I found these guys when I use to watch the old Waterman Studio animation show on the interwebz years ago. They are hip hop/rock ska band. "You got to give it up!" the theme was awesome. Hed pe, only song I freaking love by them is Suck It Up. It's on the Madden 03 soundtrack.

Equilibrium (German metal), Finntroll (Finnish folk metal), Rhapsody/Rhapsody of Fire (Italian symphonic RAAAAAGE metal), Dschinghis Khan (70's German pop), Kaizers Orchestra (Norwegian rock so alternative, it defies subgenre categorization). 5 of my absolute favoritest groups in the whole of creation.
The Royal Scot Dragoon Guards. Scottish... music. Let's be honest, is it possible to go wrong with bagpipes? While you're at it, just look up some other celtic music, most of it is pretty sweet, ranging from energetic and vaguely rocking to muscle-melting relaxing.
Have you found the entire AC\DC discography yet? It's worth it just to hear the differences between live and studio versions of their best songs. Oh, and not to mention some of them have been done live more than once. When you're sure you have all the AC\DC you can find, go ahead and find some Guns n' Roses, Aerosmith... whatever suits your fancy.
