I guess you could call this nu-metal, or perhaps hard rock. It's also a great song.

Melodic metalcore? A mixture of punk with metal elements but maintaining a strong melody.

Everybody will offer their two cents, so I'll offer mine
I recommend the Red Hot Chili Peppers. If you haven't caught yourself singing along to the likes of 'Snow (Hey Oh)', 'Hump De Bump' etc then you have no heart! Get Stadium Arcadium for a little bit of everything, By The Way for something softer, and Californication for those pumping rock ballads they're known for. Or, you could go further back, but I regard their last three albums the best.

Beg to differ on that...IMHO i prefer anything *before* californication, especially Blood Sugar that's by far my favourite. Anything after that loses about 90% of the funkiness...

edit: sorry i didn't even put in my suggestion, sorry OP! I would really put in my .02 for Skindred, one of my favourite bands lately, bit innovative and a new sound of metal

Yeah I got loads, he's only got one album to my knowledge but it's an incredibly beautiful album



I've even got some similar artists. Search Andy Mackee, Antoine Dufour or Sergio Altamura. All of them are signed to the same record company candyrats and they do loads of world, acoustic and jazz music
