I Need Quick Cosplay Ideas!

Okay, so I have exactly one week before this cosplay thing I was invited to. I'm broke. I really want to dress up as a character I know about. But I also don't want to be L or Light from DeathNote (because they're too original and I like shoes). At this point I don't care what gender the character is. I need someone I can become straight out of my closet. I have tons of different types of black clothes (from plain dresses to pants suits) and accessories I didn't just want to be a generic Loli but I will if I have to. Thoughts?

TLR: Quick, easy, no money required cosplay ideas, please!

Perfect opportunity to be Death from Neil Gaiman's Sandman comics. Funny, I just posted the exact same thing in another thread, although not one about cosplay.

John Marston? I can only think of Red Dead Redemption right now, because I'm going to the Zombie Walk as John Marston... Undead Nightmare and what not... Anyways, I can't really help you, I-OHWAIT, A Hunter from Left 4 Dead! I did that for the Zombie Walk last year. All you need is a black hoodie, a little duct tape, and (optional) some fake blood. It worked really well.

Ash Ketchum? Hardly original but easy.

I mean, all you need is like a hat, a blue t-shirt cut into a waistcoat thing and a black t-shirt under it.

You know what I dress up as every Halloween? The Doctor! Throw together practically anything (though these days, suit and pants would be most appropriate) and if you feel like summoning up the energy, paint a long box blue, write POLICE across the top in white, procure yourself a small sheet of paper that says "Just play along", stuff it into a wallet with a clear screen, and find yourself a little blue LED flashlight! Sure, The Doctor is always a Caucasian male, but I never let that bother me! Though I will admit, carrying around that large blue box everywhere is very annoying... And once security gave me weird looks and asked me questions when I pretended to use my blue LED sonic screwdriver on a fountain and flashed them my "psychic" paper.

My hair is black and I only have a black psuedo hime cut wig. As far as Misa goes, I saw a lot of DeathNote, not all, and really out of order. I know her basics. I bring this up b/c that would kind of be easy. Also, is it cosplay if you make it up? That's probably a dumb question, just curious.

Buy 6 cheap styrofoam balls, colour them like pokeballs and atatch them to a belt and say you're a pokemon trainer.

Thank you for your persistence. And I really like the picture you provided but I have no idea what K-on is. :/

You also have the added bonus of being able to throw the balls as projectiles at people and get away with it.
