As I said, each rejection makes you a stronger person. lol

Edit: HOO BOY.......13...... you need to focus on school more than a woman.....
Is that where you get your strength to lift that huge sword, Cloud? Constant rejection?

Anyways, I honestly consider school to be a program to hold back the masses and limit their growth, but I digress. I see no problem with 13 year-olds having relationships, just remember to use a condom, some mistakes are more troublesome than others.

Yeah, always need to flame people needlessly when you can't reach a computer.
I don't flame. Now go back and read the rest of what I posted.

I was going to give some advice, but I got a wave of apathy as I attempted to, so I can't.

I was quoting on an iPod. Not exactly good for text heavy replies. Also, saying 'Use a condom' is pretty much tantamount to saying 'its okay for 13 year olds to have sex' and while schools DO need to focus more on children's individual talents, at the end of the day, if I had not gone to school, I would still have my vast intellect, but I would have far less knowledge.
Okay, so saying I give "horrible advice" and I have "a jaded idiotic oppinion" (<-- mispelling) isn't flaming? Wow, I guess flaming means you act nice to people.

When I say 'use a condom' I am acknowledging the fact that 13 year-olds ARE going to have sex and whining about it won't do a thing, but condoms will.

Ah! Thanks for reminding me of what I missed on the things I hate topic, 'People who compliment themselves'. I can only assume you are a troll or sorely mistaken about your 'vast intellect'.

Hello, have you ever read CAD?! I can safely say a lot of people on this forum can related to Ethan. I'm more of a Ted myself.

That's the worst way to be let down. Ever. In my experience, girls trying to let you down lightly end up doing the most damage.
I agree, totally.

It usually means the bloke things it's a no, but maybe. Which just means to a bloke... maybe in the future, but i like you.

But she thinks she said. No, never.
The worst I've had was she thought it'd be easier for me (we were already good friends) if she ignored & avoided me for 3 weeks. I got over her, I was just pissed off at why she thought that would be a good thing, because to me it's gone from "Maybe I've got a chance" to "She won't even look at me".

Seriously, personality is way better to have than looks. I see the good looking people go out and split up after a week. But I see the guys with an awesome personality staying with their girlfriend for ages.
normally i'd say go for it on the off-chance he's secretly not really a *****, but then i remembered the OP's 13 and it probably doesn't really matter either way. though if you're really good friends and you're cool about asking, it shouldn't really put your friendship at risk.

i guess the best advice i can give is wait until you feel you're ready. I SURE AM HELPFUL.

It me or does the Escapist need a relational help section?
Because, I've only been here two weeks and I've seen more than what would be considered normal in a gaming forum.

The number is very arbitrary, but I'm sure it's a very low number. You know, with being on the Internet and talking about why game A is better than game B and all that.

the webcomic by the guy who has no idea how real human relationships really work? not the first example i would cite.

I am not complementing myself, I am highly intelligent. And I am not a troll, I am a contributing member of The Escapist. Saying that schools are actually a BAD thing for children is jaded and idiotic. It is the opinion of a middle class person, who has no real idea what life would be like without the education system.

Slow down :| Why do you need to rush into things if you're 13?

She's just a girl, she might have boobs I don't know, she likes someone else and prolly wouldn't screw up her chances with him cos he might like her, no offence, to go out with you.

Most 13 year olds feel like they love someone, go "out" with them for like 2 weeks and then break up. Then think they're in love with someone else straight away.

And besides no 13 year old should be having sex anyways!

Ask her out this instant. If she rejects you, you'll at least be happy that you were brave enough to take the risk. And if she says yes, then you'll be even more happy that you were brave enough to ask. Not taking the chance won't help you. You've got nothing to lose, right? So why not? Show her how you feel, cause then you'll get to know if she feels the same or not. Trust me, it's bloody annoying to not know how a person you like feels about you.

Look up the word compliment, notice I said compliment and not complement, the way you misspelled it, you intelligent person, you.

A contributing member of the escapist? ... I'm not even sure where to start there, aren't the escapists forums filled with flamers and the like? I said schools are meant to control the masses, not that they are completely useless, and you flamed me again. First, I don't think I am middle class, second, are you insulting people's social standing now? You are one hell of a troll, you should get an escapist badge for it.

Thank you, someone finally supporting the 'Live in the now' approach instead of the 'Wait and see' method.

Firstly, so what if he/we are middle class, Simriel? Personally, I think it's none of your goddamn business and has nothing to do with anything!

Secondly, this thread is about helping a kid who needs some advice, not about insulting others' opinions.

This thread is now about insulting others opinions! Shazaam! No? Awe, fine.

OT - Personally I think you've got plenty of other things to worry about. Just please don't use the "love" word. If you like her, that's fine. Spend more time with her, get to know her better. Most likely it's an infatuation that has the potential to grow. Granted you shouldn't sit on your hands forever, but at least make sure that you actually know who you "like" before you do anything stupid (which btw is not directed toward asking her out, is more directed toward other irrepairable things such as losing your virginity and statutory rape of a minor, depending on your state's laws).

Just be prepared if she does reject you in that aspect. Be confident but if she says no, then say ok, move on and at least try to maintain a friendship with her. There's nothing worse then losing a good friend over a debacle such as that. (note: if she completely rejects you and doesn't bother trying to continue the friendship, then she wasn't worth her time as a friend anyway)

I used to get hung up on something like that. Thing is that I just stopped caring and all my troubles went away. But I guess the real reason is that I am ugly and unlikeable, annoying and unsociable. And no one else I know is gay.
