So, I need some help. I have $25 to spend on games, and I'd like to buy something on Steam. It needs to be able to run on a slightly older computer. It can run CoD 4, at most. Please, recommend something.

Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead 1/2, Garry's Mod, Half-Life 2. I have no idea if you have these, I would assume you can run them, they're not really difficult.
Apart from that, I have no idea what genres you like. I see Splinter Cell in your avatar so I'm gonna recommend Thief: Deadly Shadows.

The Oddworlds (Odd platforming)
World of Goo (Puzzle)
Psychonauts (Platformer, must have)
STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl (FPS for masochists)
Painkiller (Very fun FPS)

It has a nazi dinosaur army in it, and you get to play as the dinos. Tell me that isn't one of the most awesome concepts ever.
That or mafia 2 while it's still on offer. Knock that baby down to 640x480 pixels and it should run smoothly for yah.

I suggest using that 25 to see what comes up on Steam sales. Get some pretty great deals there, currently Mafia II but I was never impressed by that game.
Oddly enough I wouldn't suggest getting most Valve games (except Portal and maybe Left 4 Dead) because I bought into the hype and love...and came out dissapointed. Just my opinion of course.

Ah, I've never played them. I've yet to finish Deadly Shadows. However, if and when I do I will look into those. It's a good game, I just haven't finished any game I've played in ohhhh.. 2 years.Axolotl said:
