....I am sorry you own the Orange Box for PS3.

There's always Red Dead Redemption, Prototype, and Infamous.

Anything with Disgaea in the name, Resistance 1 and 2, Infamous, God of War 1-3 (I believe there is a collection of all 3) and Uncharted 1 and 2.
Disgaea is a great RPG/strategy franchise, Resistance is a good FPS, Infamous a pretty good sandbox game, God of War is a great hack n slash that I'd recommend to anyone, and Uncharted is a great adventure game that I'd also highly recommend.

Have to agree with Yellow here. Valve really neglected updating and fixing the glitches on the PS3 version and many of them are still there.
OT: I recommend the Ratchet and Clank series because they are quite a bit of fun to play and fit in both the FPS(guns), RPG(guns leveling up), and platformer.

Borderlands can be pretty addictive because its an FPS and an RPG and if you buy the game of the year edition you get a first access pass for Duke Nukem Forever so that's a bonus.
Just Cause 2 is pretty fun for sandbox type of stuff and Red Dead Redemption I've heard is also pretty good too.
Call of Duty Black Op's multilayer can be pretty addictive, same with the nazi zombie maps.

These are all pretty mainstream titles but if your willing to pay the money, I'd definitely check em out.

Exclusives:
Valkyria Chronicles: Tactical RPG with RTS and TPS elements (really). It really works too. One of my favorite games on the console.

Disgaea 3 (get 4 when it's released): Also a tactical RPG. While 1 & 2 are great fun, you can play this without having tried the others (the story is unconnected, save for a few cameos).

Uncharted series: I probably don't need to explain what this is.

Killzone 2: FPS. Very *heavy*.

Folklore: Weird, story-driven action-RPG. It's a little slow, but the story and designs make up for it.

Non-exclusives:
Vanquish
Dead Space 2
Resonance of Fate
Bayonetta (supposedly they fixed the problems with the PS3 version now, I only have the 360 version so I can't test. If they did, you absolutely need to play this game, because it's awesome.)
Mass Effect 2

Infamous. Sandbox in it is awesome.

I'd say Soul Calibur, but really only if you enjoy fighitng games of that type.

ANd dragon age origins. Its one of the more solidly built RPGs I've played ina while. Or at least until they release Persona 5. Which when they do you MUST pick up.

Uncharted and Uncharted 2. I recommend you play Uncharted til you beat it/are bored with it, because it isn't super good, and Uncharted 2 is EONS better than Uncharted (and nearly every game on the market).

inFAMOUS (and soon to be 2), Killzone 2 (and soon to be 3), LittleBIGPlanet (2), God of War Collection, God of War III, Sly Collection, Gran Turismo 5, Grand Theft Auto IV, Assassin's Creed II.

All those games are tried and tested to be stellar.

I loved Uncharted, I actually beat Uncharted 2's singleplayer three times (Normal, Hard, and Crushing difficulties). Uncharted 2's multiplayer isn't impressive, I played maybe an hour before never returning.

Other game is, of course, inFAMOUS, but I think it's better to get the game on sale, I don't feel it's worth the full price.

Resonance of Fate
Final Fantasy 13 ( meh, wait till the price comes down)
Grand Theft Auto 4( The DLC is good too)
Dragon Age: ultimate Edition
Bionic Commando ( Sure it got mixed reviews, but I liked it. Plus its cheap.)
Silent Hill Homecoming
Dead Rising 2
Uncharted 1 and 2 ( Get three)
The Sly Collection ( If you can't find the original games on the PS2)
3D dot game Heroes
Red Dead Redemption
Infamous 2
Marvel vs Capcom 3
Bayonetta ( One of the best games this generation_
Killzone 2
Valkyrie Chronicles ( Looks fun)
God of War collection and God of War 3
Just Cause 2 ( One of the best sandbox games EVER)
Rock Band games ( If your into it)
Folkore ( I heard good things about it.)

Plus PSN has alot of classics, and original games, like All three Resident Evil Games, The Grandia Games, The Final Fantasy Games, Castle Crashers ( The best game ever released. Buy it...)

Really, I'm sort of amazed that you can't find anything to play.

Why no love for the downloadable games? There's a ton of cool stuff to buy off the PSN:

PoP Trilogy (in HD!)
Scott Pilgrim vs The World
Costume Quest
Flow
Flower

[small](Flow & Flower are at first glance very odd, "high-concept" games, but if you give them a chance, i promise you you'll fall in love with them)[/small]

Everyday Shooter
X-Men Arcade
Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People
the HD remake of Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles in Time
Racthet & Clank: Quest for Booty (an awesome in-betweener for the two big R & C games)

The PixelJunk games offer something for everyone, each tweaking a familiar gaming trope in really interesting ways. PixelJunk Racer, Shooter, Eden, and Monsters are all worth your attention.
