So I've always had this itch I've never been able to scratch. I play WoW and have been for a couple of years but I always go through a cycle of absolutely LOVING the game to maybe logging on every other day or so for a small amount of time. During the down times of which I am currently suffering I've always had the urge to play a game...but I don't own the game I want to play. I have a PS3, a Wii, a half-decent computer, a PS2, a Gamecube, an N64...and I still can't think of what to play.

What am I missing?

If you haven't played Ocarina of Time, that's what you're missing. It is a part of the human soul, which is never complete until the person has played the game.

What? So you're bored? I'd say you're missing another hobby, but that's probably not what you're asking.

Actually, wait."I don't own the game I want to play." So there's a particular game you want? Which one? Or do you just want general game suggestions? Get Persona 3 and/or 4. That's pretty much all I can come up with, because PS2 is the only one in the last I've used for gaming aside from SC2 on my pc.

You've given a wide range of choice for all the console but it depends what you're into.
You should try and rent out a range of different styles of games ie. FPS,Racing, RPG, strategy and so forth. When you find one you like get another game similar but not the same.

Hope i've helped.

The PSN which is down?

OT:

Borderlands.

It's refreshingly original.

FPS meets Diablo, with cel-shading and humor. And sweet game length of 25-30 hours per run.

Thats the problem. I don't really know what I want. I just know I don't own it. I just need awesome game suggestions. The best.

If you are in the US, Borderlands: GOTY edition is just $20 at Gamestop right now.

Can't hurt to get the PS3 version for that price. It's a steal.

Still? Well do it whenever PSN decides it looks pretty enough to come out of the bathroom.

I don't suppose you've tried Red Dead? It's a bloody brilliant game, and it's the most realistic world ever created for a video game, at least so far.

I think I'll do that...eventually...
So hows Persona 3/4?

play with the girl next door?

But yeah I think Borderlands could fill the void for awhile if you have friends that will play with you and get all the expansions. Demon's Souls is also worth playing.

Yeah the living environment is really awe inspiring, I have never had so much stuff happen to me while simply traveling from town to town. Rescuing a whore in town, hijacked on the outskirts of town, mauled by a cougar...there really is never a low point.

I dunno. You could try some metal gear solid. you can play most of the series on a ps2 and a remake of Metal gear solid on the gamecube called the twin snakes.

Well, Metroid Prime is one of my absolute favorite games. Then there's Eternal Darkness, that is if you can get your hands on it.

Fantastic story, but they are difficult games at times.

Recommend P4 first, due to ally control. Instead of the AI...

Well, I have a few.

If you need to blow off some steam, go for PROTOTYPE.

Need multiplayer? Hit either Reach (Oops, noticed you don't have a 360) Black Ops or find some chums for L4D.

Immersion? Go for Fallout 3, skip New Vegas.

Want to see your efforts amount to something you can behold? Hit up minecraft.

Just want to get your magic on? Go for Oblivion. Sure its old, but it is still good.

Looking for brutality? Try the most recent AVP.

Need something to scare you sh*tless? Try Amnesia.

Want to be untouchable? Go for Spore if you must.

Looking for a zen state? Try good old TETRIS.

Want to move fast? I know this may seem odd, but Marble Blast Ultra has some good times to be had.

Looking to dissapear for a few months? Give Peggle a whirl.

Hope any of these help.

No one lives forever for the pc was one of my favorites, but its from '99-2000 so it might be hard to find. Good Multiplayer, But only on pc. (PC/PS2)

Splinter cell chaos theory (PC/PS2) I had some fun with as well, I like stealth games. A lot.

Crash Team Racing(PS1) is really great. Fun battles with 2 players, but get cheats w/ characters, tracks, etc. :p (to unlock)
Crash Nitro Kart (PS2/GC/GBA) was okay, but PS2/GC is better than GBA.

Goldeneye 007 (N64/New version on wii) Im speaking of the N64 version here, but it set the bar for many games, albiet the difficulty to look up/down. >_<

Portal and Portal 2: Self-explanatory at this point. Wonderful games.

Persona 4: The greatest JRPG ever made, in my oh-so-humble opinion. Featuring characters who behave like real human beings, a believable and fascinating plot and metaphysics/psychology/philosophy that add to the story rather than getting in its way. =o

Valkyria Chronicles: Excellent tactical RPG/turn-based strategy.. something with nice cel-shaded graphics.

Wipeout HD: Okay, so the PSN is down right now, but this one is great. Best racing game I have played since the old Wipeout games on the PS1.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem: I have never played this or Tales of Symphonia, because I never owned a GameCube. So.. go for it? Maybe?

Tales of Symphonia: See above. I'm recommending this anyway because people tell me it's the best in the series, and the entry in the series that I have played (Vesperia) was amazing.

Vanquish: Extremely over-the-top third-person shooter. De-emphasizes cover and is made more awesome for doing so.

Half-Life (yes, all of them): Ah, good old revolutionary first-person shooters. Why couldn't everyone have single-player campaigns like you?

Mass Effect: Third-person shooter/RPG hybrid. Very good.

..actually, do you have any genre preferences at all? This is going to be a pretty long list otherwise.

I bought both versions, and the I HATED the N64 version. Terrible, just terrible. I enjoyed the Wii version though. Especially the night club level.
