My boyfriend really won me over with some flowers and a collectors edition of Fallout 3. But I'm a gamer girl and possibly easier to please (insert Quagmire 'giggidy' here).
A good one, you make a coupon that says "You've won 1 free date with me, this prize package includes, a free all expenses paid movie and dinner (dessert included) and a free shoulder rub from yours truly"
Stuff like that are winners.

Cute is subjective unfortunately. As someone pointed out above, hello kitty phone charms are cute to some, while flowers are cute to others. It depends what kind of girl she is.
Also, looking cute is good, however looking like your trying is not so good. Perhaps if you waited for an anniversary that is trivial, 1 week, fortnight, month etc and give her a card and single rose (from experience they are expensive, sometimes $10NZ Each!).
Make sure to avoid printed cards, and humorous, go for the plain ones, with nice pictures, landscape or the flowers and blank inside. Right something personal/nice inside, add flower (optional is cadbury's roses etc). This method while cute, is not too bad and is generally safe unless they fall into the emo category, in which case carve their name on your arm.
Avoid puppy dog crap, avoid looking clingy and desperate, and most importantly avoid garlic!
Above all, be close to yourself!

Leave her a nicely wrapped box of lollies with a note inside saying something cute, like "I'm thinking about you", or just a (L).
You really think you can plan some formula cute thing out after asking the good people of the interwebs? The stuff that she's going to really remember about you, the stuff that'll mean a lot to her... we can't tell you that stuff. It HAS to come from you, if it doesn't it's not going to be as real as you want it to be. Only you can figure out what to do to make her love you more. And you do that by knowing what the likes and what she dislikes, by knowing her, and by being willing to do things to make her happy.
