This probably sounds a bit wierd. I searched for any threads talking about it and came up with nothing so I feel it is my duty to fans of Lego games to tell them, that's it's awesome, and I usually never have a reason to sing praises of a game since everyone always does it before me.

The hub world is THE CITY OF GOTHAM, not just a lobby. And all the golden bricks etc. lying around it make it feel a bit like a kiddier version of solving all the puzzles in Arkham City. You can play in a theme park, ride animals at the zoo, or just run around as terror ensues because tons of villains are running around. For once you can properly have fun with your friends without even being in a level. You now start running fast if you're running for a bit, meaning it's not tiresome to walk places in this city before you get a vehicle.

To get to the next mission you follow a trail of ghost studs although unlike Harry Potter this is far more fun because you don't have to wait for someone to place them and they work much more like the golden trail in Fable.

The missions themselves feel much less like the old formula of "new room, break ALL the things", but instead feel like defeating enemies is actually important, instead of an annoyance stopping you from breaking or building stuff. By the way, now when you're building stuff, you can't be interrupted, which is a great improvement from having to deal with being constantly killed by ranged enemies as I do stuff. Doing "puzzles" such as using specific character's powers or suit abilities is essential for progress through a level, and not just a "force this thing", or having whole group of six characters stand still as one does the important thing.

I'm suprised but the voice acting just works, really well. The acting is good and always slightly cheesy, like poking fun at lamer villains.

The vehicles. Oh God, the vehicles. You have a free camera now when you go around the Gotham hub, meaning they don't handle like ass, and play like vehicles in most other games. You can actually power slide in this game. I was never expecting that from a Lego game, but it becomes so much fun to just drive around a decently handling vehicle with machine guns and missles on it.

After watching my brother play, I went back to playing one of my favourite Lego games, Star Wars The Compelte Saga, and felt bored in comparison as I continued to replay levels looking for annoyingly hidden Minikit Containers. It even makes Pirates look a bit boring.

The only downside I can think of is some characters have cool powers like flying (Superman's theme starts every time you fly around the city, it's awesome) or laser vision or running fast(warning: The Flash runs EXTREMELY FAST), so it's just disappointing when you unlock one of your favourite villains and find out he's one they couldn't think of anything for.
I guess the fact there's only 15 levels may seem a bit short, but there's 250 gold bricks, which is tons, and all because of all the ones lying around the city.
There's always some glitches, like riding an animal too fast can cause it to despawn etc, but nothing ever game breaking or greatly bothersome, *cough*unlike Harry Potter*cough*

I played the demo and i could kill Harley before her boss fight started. That did break the game a bit (fact that the cut-scenss where unskippable made it a bit more annoying).

It looks like a great and fun game though but i will wait till the price has dropped a bit(or i will pick up lego LotR that is a little more interesting to me).

Wish I knew , I was just fooling around a bit. I build the stairs that leads to the stage , jumped up the stairs and up the stage. Harley was still standing there doing nothing, walked up to her and killed her.

Somehow landing on the stage didn't start the bossfight. I am used to finding gamebreaking bugs while fooling around in games.

I will get these game in the end(I will wait for the x/box version to be a little cheaper).
I own a lot of lego games and love them all(heck i still play with real lego irl)

It is one of the better LEGO games now. I'm glad they got rid of that weird, story unfocused overworld they had before to make room for a much preferred, sandbox map.

Yeh its awesome. My two complaints are that autosaving takes too long and is very annoying when collecting gold bricks and when you fly as Bizzaro it doesn't do the John Williams theme backwards
