Right so here's the deal. I have absolutely no idea what to buy my sister for Christmas. Like none. So I am turning to you Escapist community in the hopes that you might be able to help me with my problem (yes I am aware this is last minute).

Right so, we live in lower Ontario, bout an hour away from Toronto.

My sister is 19 and in university.
She loves photography, she's studying multimedia in school.
She is also really into Pokemon, and has all the games that are available for handheld systems.
She just got some pyrotechnics certification.

I don't know what other information I can give, but if you guys could start throwing out ideas that'd be great. Bonus points if they can be bought in and around Toronto, or shipped from within Ontario due to time constraints.

Thanks guys :)

What's your budget? You could buy her a camera or some extra parts for one (dunno, zoom?) I'd ask her what exactly, since she'd know better. You could make her present a mock IOU or similar and take her shopping afterwards.

Otherwise, maybe some good looking frames? I think there are digital frames, too - you buy one, connect it with a USB and upload a photo to it, then click a button and BAM - photo with a frame. You can always change it, too.

A model Charizard the breathes actual fire?

(being serious here, I'd be very surprised if there's not one out there)
Probably, I was thinking building her a mini-flamethrower if I have the time as well, as like a side gift, but the Charizard sounds dangerious :) (although you're right it probably does exist).

Somewhere round $100, maybe little over if the thing is really neat. See I was thinking camera parts, but I have no clue how that thing works, what lens she has and which ones are good or what they do.

I think it would be a good idea to call her and ask her what she needs/wants. If you are able to that is. I think a camera accessory might be good and if you have money to spare get her a Pokemon plushie.

The plushie is actually a really good idea I'm gonna see if I can't find something like that. I don't want to call her though cause she prefers it when things are a surprise, or rather she like to make things complicated.

I was thinking maybe buying her the new mini wii if anyone has experience with that, and maybe like some of the exclusive pokemon games available for that. Does anyone have any experience with that or recommendations one way or another?

My thought for something really awesome and personalized is this:

Step 1: Discover what kind of camera she uses.
Step 2: Acquire a replacement lens cover for said camera
Step 3: Enamel a Poke-ball motif to said lens cover.
Step 4: Happy sister, bonus points for being home-made, and something she'll use all the time to boot.

That's neat might do that as well :)

For Pokemon Plushies I would suggest Pokedolls.

They're very cute and rare, they'll run you a pretty penny at around $50 a pop (since they're only sold in two or three locations in the world), but if your budget is $100, you're actually spending less than you thought. You can order them online, but you'll have to order them from trusted sellers, since they're very often faked.

Some of the sellers that I know sell absolutely authentic plushies are...

----------------------------
If you do online ordering, you might have to rush it for Christmas though.

Thanks man, those look pretty neat, plus on the upside it looks like if I rush it it might just make it in time for Christmas :)
