I got knocked out by hitting my head on a tree branch. Next thing I know I'm in the ER for stitching. Funny thing about it was it felt like I fell into the ER bed because I didn't feel the impact with the branch.

I was out for about 20 minutes once due to falling off of my chair and hitting my head against the bookcase positioned behind me.

I have never tried passing out, but I have tried having shakes. I dont know if its an illness, but usually it starts with my nose bleeding... alot, whereafter by body, mainly my hands begin to shake and twitch. When the shakes stop I usually get very dizzy and get a terrible headache. BTW, if anyone knows what the cause for this may be, please tell, i'm getting pretty worried since it happened a couple of times now

I've passed out/fainted before, had at least two white-outs, and sometimes have seizures, most recently, two consecutive ones while running a fever.
Could be worse, really. I'm a whole lot luckier than some people.

I once randomly lost control of my body and fell. Besides bashing my arm on the way down I was fine. I didn't even really lose conciousness.

Still not sure what happened.

I've never passed out but I have very frequent head rushes. often when I sit up the blood rushes to my head. Sometimes I just lose my vision but it can get worse to the point where I find it hard to hold my own weight and on one occasion I feel to the floor. Nowhere near the same thing but still, something to add to the duscussion

Well I tested if you can hold your breath indefinitely, you can't, you pass out and all basic functions return to normal.

I've fainted a couple of times during weightlifting. Certain compound exercises will take all the energy out of you in only 10 reps or so, and trying to push myself for maximum gains occasionally results in "hahaha, I feel kinda-"WHAM when I put the weights down and stand up.

This one time, I stood up from the sofa after lounging for a while, then left the room. I got a headrush, and felt faint, but continued to walk thinking that I'd stroll it off as usual. I walked into the study where my Dad was on the PC, and suddenly my legs shut down. As I collapsed, I flailed my arms and yelled, but then my arms did the same and I smacked one on the wall on the way down, before landing on the side of my head. Since I couldn't move, I started yelling for help. My Dad told me I "wasn't being funny" and to "get up", which I obviously couldn't. But then after a few seconds of frustrated shouting, I regained control, stood up, smacked my Dad round the head for being a dick, and left. And every time I've had a head rush since, I dive to the floor/bed just in case.

It was so damn weird.

In high school, a girl had a nasty seizure in the middle of a test. Head banging, desk flipping, the works. What's bizarre is that she was perfectly fine afterward, despite jackhammering a desk with her face and pulling it over with her ankles.

I once knocked myself out on a school trip, which wasn't at all embarasing. I can't remember a thing for a good couple of minutes beforehand, but I'm told I dropped my pen and took a step backwards so I could pick it up, managed to step onto the pen, and cracked my head on the floor on the way down. I was out cold for about a minute and did NOT feel well for the rest of the day. It's surprising how uncomfortable being knocked out is, it's not just confusion and a headache you feel really naseous too (afterwards, not during!).

Second best would have to be when I performed a perfect dive into a swimming pool... yeah a little too perfect: I went straight down and smacked my head on the bottom. All I can remember is pain and a whiteout, but when I came to my senses I was somehow out of the pool. As far as I can tell, my body got itself out of the water on autopilot before considering fainting, which is pretty cool. Then there was the blood, nausea and shooting pains down my spine for a damn week, which was not cool. At all.

Nope, I'm far too manly to pass out.

I found the fact that these two posts were next to each other to be absolutely hilarious. Thank you, good sirs.

Yeah... I've blacked out a few times in recent years. It seems every time I get a needle all the blood leaves my head or something. It's not as if I'm scared of injections, because it always happens after it's done and I've been walking for a minute. One time three years ago I passed out after getting a shot in school. There were a bunch of people watching... it was weird.

Aside from that, I passed out in the shower one time... I think I was just tired and hadn't eaten for hours. Luckily I woke up without drowning, but waking up naked in a tub with water raining down on you is one of the weirdest feelings...

And last but not least there was this one time where I went to this party and drank a shit-load of beer and smoked a few grams of weed. Needless to say I don't really remember what happened that night but I definitely passed out a few times.(High-School parties... really lame)

I've passed out twice. Once I was in the kitchen doing washing up when I suddenly found myself on the floor in pain from apparently hitting my head on the fridge as I fell.

I also passed out in a big important assembly once. Took out a stack of chairs on my way down too. Very embarassing, especially when I was supposed to speak during that same assembly.
