i really need help - emulator related

hey guys, i'm really sorry if this is posted in the wrong place (i happen to be a n00b)

Basically, i need to know where i can find a memory card file for pSX v1.13 (playstation emulator)

As the emulator annoyingly came without memory slots... and i'm currently playing medievil and would like to save and go to bed... epic fail.

It can't make it's own? Mine made it's own.

Use ePSXe.

And by the way, you DID use your own BIOS, am I right?

ePSXe gave me no end of trouble for some reason =S

and i used a friend's BIOS

I just did a search and i got the readme file here it is

Memory cards
------------

This tab configures the memory cards inserted into the Playstations
slots. To create a memory card click ..., navigate to where you want
the file to be saved, and enter a filename (eg. "mycard").

Wrong, ROMs that you don't own a legit copy of the game of and BIOs are. Emulators themselves are not in any technicality illegal. You can own every emulator under the sun and no one can say boo if you don't have BIOS or ROMs.

yup, and i own both a playstation and the games (just not a tv to play them on!)

I have a similar-ish problem. My TV broke -.- I tried ePSXe and I ran a game (Silent Hill) with it, and it ran fine the first time but after that it just sort of gave me a black screen and did nothing. Bleah.

Wrong, ROMs that you don't own a legit copy of the game of and BIOs are. Emulators themselves are not in any technicality illegal. You can own every emulator under the sun and no one can say boo if you don't have BIOS or ROMs.

The Emulater may be legal, but the ROM is illegal whether you own the actual game or not.

Either way, I made a thread about one a while ago and it got locked. So fair warning to the OP.

okay... regardless of whether it's illegal or not (even though i fully paid for the games and therefore feel i have the right to play them however i wish) thanks for the suggestions, and idid try ePSXe but it just bugged out on me and never did as it was told, i'll keep trying, and use state saves if all else fails ^^

That's really sad that they'd care so much. Anyway, Playstation games can be played out of the CD drive with a lot of emulators, so no need for a ROM.

Yeah, but you can just use the PS1 discs and everythings fine then. Sony wasn't thinking very far ahead and now they have their discs rotate the same as a pc for this system; now we can legally play ps1 games on our computers.

It isn't illegal in America. As long as you rip the disc yourself, there's nothing against using it. You can also flash the BIOS from your Playstation and it's completely legal. For now.

What exactly happened when it was bugging out?

had serious issues with final fantasy 9 (probably one of my favourite games, so i was not best amused!) jumped around, got glitchy and etc when trying to cast magic, also froze during card games. Had trouble with Silent Hill, where it decided to just not load on occasions, and most of the time just refused to run at all... i got fed up with it and consulted a friend, who recommended pSX v1.13

..Unfortunately, that friend is in bed atm xD
