i really need help - emulator related

okay... regardless of whether it's illegal or not (even though i fully paid for the games and therefore feel i have the right to play them however i wish) thanks for the suggestions, and idid try ePSXe but it just bugged out on me and never did as it was told, i'll keep trying, and use state saves if all else fails ^^

What exactly happened when it was bugging out?

had serious issues with final fantasy 9 (probably one of my favourite games, so i was not best amused!) jumped around, got glitchy and etc when trying to cast magic, also froze during card games. Had trouble with Silent Hill, where it decided to just not load on occasions, and most of the time just refused to run at all... i got fed up with it and consulted a friend, who recommended pSX v1.13

..Unfortunately, that friend is in bed atm xD

Yeah, it took a while for 9 to work for me. But now I have it on PS3.

You should get a PS3 for that game alone. It's worth it.

Aha that might have been either a problem with your BIOS/game (Wrong region for one of them) or for your graphics plugin which can cause those graphical errors, at least from my experience with the program.

probably... i just got fed up of trying to fix it, and heard from friends that i should have avoided it. so decided to start from scratch with a different emulator, which actually works perfectly for me... there's just the matter of memory cards ><

*facepalm* i've solved my problem now... it's so mind numbingly simple and embarassing that i'm not even going to say how i did it xD
