It's almost depressing how far the obvious sarcasm went over people's heads. Anyway, on topic; yeah, these threads annoy me too. No intelligent discussion ever comes out of them (at best you get people repeatedly spouting the typical "congratulations, you have an opinion" line, and at worst it turns into a total flame war), and the only point ever seems to be for the OP to simultaneously put the people who do like said game down and draw attention to how different and unique they are for having an uncommon opinion. It's basically a mild form of trolling, and nothing more.

I could win back favour by musing on how everybody thinks that they're original, witty and interesting. But then I'd be risking making people think that I'm under the illusion I needed to tell that to people because I'm more aware of such things than they are.

Ugh I made a forum a bit like this before and no offence guys but escapists wouldn't know sarcasm if it slapped them right in the face. The OP is being clever and everybody is like "Bwuh? Huh? What?" and then you have to explain it.
Anyway I agree people seem to think their opinion is so radical they must make an entire wall of poorly written text with its own thread explaining how much they dont like it. After all if they don't like it but everybody else does that means they are super special and thus really important, it would be a CRIME not to give people their opinions.
