I don't like a game either.

You clearly share a different opinion about a game than myself. So I thought I would make this forum post to inform you of this unforgivable transgression, and in turn, insult you with many varying colors of homosexual and perhaps racial slurs and along other profanities because my onion is much more wonderful than your own.

The above, of course, warrants my reply instead of just letting this thread fade into obscurity.

Anyway, I realize there isn't much of a point to this topic. We've already got the "Missed the point" responses, the "That was funny" responses, the "Equally satirical" responses (see above) and even some "Satirical topics aren't as clever as you think they are" responses. This is usually the part when the topic dies. WELL NOT ON MY WATCH! POST! *click*

Edit: Oooooooor it could get WAY more attention then it warrants and explode into a massive, multiple page epic. It will NOT, however, actually stop anyone from making non-satirical topics exactly like this one. Unfortunately.

How is this Pointless or irrelevant, the point is trying to stop those types of threads, and the its relevant to the recent trend in those types of threads
As for the attention grabbing thing, What thread doesnt want attention. No one makes a thread saying "Whats your favourite fruit? Oh and don't look or reply to this"

Yeh I don't like a game, and i saw you all going on about how good it is so I thought I would make a forum post to show how wonderful and different my opinion is, instead of just bringing it up in relevant conversation

I get it, I just want to add that there's nothing wrong with having a legitimate problem with a game that you can back up with facts and well-reasoned arguments. The problem is having an opinion on a game that's stated bluntly and without rationale (e.g. "I think game X is Y quality, discuss.)

Is discussing our opinions not what this forum is for? If someone wants to bring up an opinion that differs from the norm there is no reason they shouldn't. Of course the difference between the threads you are mocking and your own post is that they often have content, saying there are SPECIFIC THINGS they dislike, not just that "that game" was bad but that it had predictable AI and the plot was incoherent.
